Friendly’s South County on Bayless Ave is amazing!
The food is excellent, portions are HUGE, and the price is unbeatable–your money goes a long way. Our favorite is the fried chicken special (half a bird with two sides!), but pizzas and burgers are great too.
Maria is our everything server–bartender, food runner, server–and remembered my name by our second visit, greeting me like a longtime customer. There’s ample parking, a wheelchair ramp, a cozy atmosphere, a separate room with games of chance, and a wall of TVs for sports. The name “Friendly’s” truly lives up to it. Highly recommend!

Not impressed. First time going there tonight. Walked in from the back and not sure where to go. Walked around no one acknowledged us. The place was smoky. Even a couple of other patrons commented how it reeked of cigarette smoke. We left. I was looking forward to a cheese burger. Went to Sharp Shooters.

Great little neighborhood bar. Owner and bartender were super nice. There are tons of games to play including speedball, shuffleboard, basketball. Plus, they sell HOMEMADE Rye Bread Pizza snacks! I’ve never seen that before and we ordered 3 of them

Friendly people at Friendly’s. A little hard to find, shares a parking lot with a Thai place. Park in rear and enter thru side door opposite the street. Kind owner kept the kitchen open midday for our group after a Funeral. Great service, fun arcade games, plenty of seating in dining area. Great food. Highly recommend.

Ordered cheese garlic bread, garlic parmesan wings, and mini tacos. The wings had no garlic or parmesan and the cheese garlic bread was barely melted and not a taste of garlic. The bread was not even toasted. The mini tacos were tastey, but they only had to fry them. Sorry to say will not go back for food.

We hosted a 40th birthday party for a friend of ours on Saturday and this was one of the bars we stopped at. All was good until an employee came outside screaming at someone in our party for apparently talking trash to the bartender. Which this did not happen. Long story short, the owners chair is placed at the bar (with no sign saying it’s reserved). A gentleman from our party was asked to not sit there and he immediately got up. A few regulars said that anyone can sit there when the owner is not there. The gentleman who was asked not to sit there let everyone know in the party that no one could sit there. An hour later, an employee came outside ready to fight over the entire thing. For someone who’s worked in customer service for 20 years, this was by far the worst way this situation could have been handled. The gentleman who you came out screaming to is far from someone who would be disrespectful to someone, especially a woman behind a bar. The entire thing was a miscommunication and the woman who came out screaming would have understood that a little more had she just came out and talked instead of coming out ready to fight. You had a big party who was there to spend a lot of money and tip very well, you ruined that and any future business from anyone we know.

We had a group of 8 for the dungeon mystery dinner and had an incredible time!!! The play was very funny (and a little blue!!) and the service and food were great. The owner Denny and chef Kelly run a very clean kitchen. Come check them out!!!!
