Extremely friendly. Food is solid. People are very friendly. Ice cream is killer. Definitely worth a trip, and then another!

Unfriendly experience. Waited forever to be seated despite restaurant being pretty empty (first clue). Hostess seemed irritated that she had to take time out of her online orders to seat us. Server was fairly nice, no refill offers, one fly by check in. Can’t fault her. Sundaes came looking like half eaten discarded milkshakes, literally half melted, zero whipped cream and cherries had sunk to the bottom following the melted path of least resistance. Not your typical sundae experience. I asked the busboy if they had run out of sundae glasses and he said they kept breaking and weren’t being replaced. Water was served in a chipped glass. Also – random christmas tree and moldy ceiling tiles. Empty ketchup bottles on table. Go to Dairy Queen or Mr G’s. Trust me, this place gets worse every time we visit.

We stopped in here twice, once for lunch and once for ice cream, so I’m combining our experiences.
Our lunch was ok. The food was fine but there were several mistakes made with it. The waitress screwed up on my husband’s salad stating he didn’t want any chicken or bacon, which we didn’t find out until the bill came and it was stated on there. So when it arrived he sent it back so he could get the missing protein. I ordered the corn quesadilla which came with green peppers on it even though they weren’t supposed to be there. Our waitress certainly wasn’t on her game.
The next day (today) we went back specifically for ice cream. We had a different waitress but again, her service was mediocre at best. The ice cream however was delicious!
This may not be the best place to go for actual food but if you’re looking for ice cream then it is definitely an excellent choice!

What a splendid place to eat. Waitresses were 100% fantastic and on point. Very delicious lunch and at a great price. Near the battlefield, so it was really close. Don’t waste your money anywhere else they take care of you here..

Obviously, the best thing about Friendly’s is the ice cream. The food, however, it’s something you could easily cook at home for way less cost and much larger portions. The staff is friendly, but it always feels like they’d rather be somewhere else. I don’t recommend Friendly’s over other restaurants, but it’s good in a pinch.

I came to go grab some food last week and the service was very quick, food was excellent. Our server was super sweet she was very accommodating to my food request. She was very patient and always had a smile. Her Kayla. Very amazing girl.

Came in here with the family for dinner partway through a camping trip. Expectations were fairly low going in, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Service was friendly and quick. Food wasn’t fancy but was good. My cob salad was delicious and so was my wife’s fried chicken sandwich. The kids really enjoyed their ice cream treats. It had been many years since I had been to a Friendly’s, but we’ll have to start going again.

We came to friendlys for its nostalgic atmosphere, but it was everything but friendly. Our server was extremely dull and looked like she did not want to be there and to be frank, I wouldn’t want to be there either if i was in her position. The atmosphere was gross and grimy, but I drew the line when my friend went to use the bathroom and an employee left the bathroom without washing her hands and went straight back to the kitchen. The food was mediocre at best and was way too expensive. I will not be returning.

My family is here visiting Gettysburg and needed a quick lunch. We figured Friendly’s would be better than fast food. Wrong. First off, it took the cook getting the server’s attention to seat us. We waited too long to be seated. Also, the place smells funky. My husband and I both ordered the fish and chips which were awful. The breading was hard and the filets were frozen, like Gorton’s. Not worth $18. My oldest daughter said her sliders were good, so I’ll take her word for it. We ordered my toddler a hotdog, a plain hotdog. Nothing else. She’s 20 months old and didn’t need a full meal. We were still charged $9 for her hotdog. Who does that? Hotdogs are cheaper at MLB stadiums. The fries were cold and had no salt or seasoning. They were probably old.The server was nice, but this place is ridiculous. Terrible food. Overpriced. Don’t eat here. Would’ve given zero stars, but that isn’t an option.
