First off, I don’t normally write restaurant reviews, but I had such a nice experience at the Middleboro Friendlys that I just had to write one. Going there brought me back to my younger days going with my family. The atmosphere was friendly and service was excellent from our waitress, Makiya. We ordered from the senior menu and the prices were very reasonable. We even got a free Senior Happy Endings Sundae with our meal. It’s been many years since the last time I went to a Friendlys, but I’ll be sure to return soon!

I called in for a pick-up order, and during the process, the server put me on hold halfway through. I wasn’t impressed with the overall ordering experience, especially after receiving the wrong order. We ordered a bacon mac and cheese burger, but it was rung up as a regular burger, and that’s what we ended up getting.
I understand that prices are increasing, but paying $50 for a burger, chicken sandwich, and an appetizer is ridiculous for take out. The appetizer alone cost $15, and it was the most disappointing portion of food I’ve ever seen (pictures below).
To top it off, our food was cold, incorrect, and underwhelming. We are officially done with this restaurant.

I have been here multiple times and every time I have such a wonderful experience. The servers are all amazing, the managers that I have met are wonderful people, and they all work so hard together to do their very best to serve people. My food always tastes really good and I just think they’re all fantastic.

Walked in at 7:59 was told we won’t cook you any food we close at 9 but you can have ice cream…. Ok walking in our waitress was taking a food order. 2 seconds later we can order food. No wonder why they are they are shutting you down. Your food sucks anyway I wanted to feed my kids your crap . Don’t ask why no tip.

I use to sit in or do take out but the last few times have been terrible experiences between lack of the waitress checking in and missing items when I order it. Food is skimpy and deceiving much different from when I was a child and frequent going there. I tried to call after missing items from my order and the phone just kept ringing.

By far the worst friendlys I’ve been too. The service was terribly slow and it wasn’t busy. We waited 10-15 just to be greeted by the waitress. The ice cream was good but they didn’t portion the ice creams right and kinda seemed like they were rushing. Also we’re tried to cash out at the register but the manager unpleasantly stated she can’t close it out there.

I only go for ice cream. So can only confirm that they are consistent in service and quality for ice-cream and frappes. Been there 3 time in the last 2 months and always satisfactory. Meaning service team was friendly and prompt with my order. Also. The ice cream and frappe portions were good and the quality is consistent and good. I get coffee and black raspberry ice-cream and frappe.

I came here recently for some ice cream, and while the ice cream itself was decent, the prices were just way too high. It was around $3–4 per scoop, and they even charged over a dollar just for a simple cherry—that felt excessive.
What really stood out, though, was the wait time. I waited over 30 minutes just for two ice creams. That alone wouldn’t have been a big deal if the place was packed, but it was pretty empty.
I used to go to Friendly’s all the time as a kid and absolutely loved it—it had a great vibe, good food, and was always a fun experience. Unfortunately, it feels like a completely different place now. The energy is gone, the service is slow, and the food and dessert quality just doesn’t match the prices they’re charging.
