Never had a $40 lunch with a plastic fork…it was good years ago, but my last trip here
My main gripe is the location itself and a lack of upkeep. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great spot, awesome view. The issue is everything feels sticky? The floor, the tables, the chairs. What could be a cool area to eat is kinda dampened by the cheap plastic tables and chairs that could be either power washed or preferably tossed. I understand it is almost entirely an outside location, so protecting your equipment like tables, chairs, and the building itself from the bipolar Washington weather is definitely not easy.
Since writing this, my last visit went down as such: We went up, and ordered our food before sitting down at one of the outdoor plastic tables, located at the bottom of the wall where the bar lays atop (important). We get our food, it’s good, our server is nice, however as we eat a question is asked, “Is it starting to rain?” Now, it was raining, but not the regular precipitation you would expect. It just so happened that another customer, seated along the railing which towered over us and our table, had spilled a drink, which had begun to slowly drip and splatter on some of the decorations that cover the wall above us, before sprinkling onto the table.
Now, is this anyone fault? Not really, could it have been prevented by anyone working that day? No, but I think it should be common sense to have some sort of awning under a location where people eat.
I sincerely promise that there is no ill will in this review, and I am not disgruntled over what happened, I am merely attempting to give feedback on what I experienced
Got the oysters and asked for lemon and crackers. The waiter literally came back with ONE lemon on napkin and a bag of oyster crackers. I even said, l”one lemon?” and he laughed never to be heard from again. Sent an email to restaurant. Absolutely basic.
