I definitely enjoyed myself along with the food and drinks. As pictured we had the guacamole with pork belly. This was my least favorite, it didn’t taste like much. The fried red snapper was seasoned to perfection. We did not enjoy the house sauce that was on the Mexican rice and the butterfly shrimp. The lime juice was too overpowering. Over all though it was a good meal.

Tried Fridas for the first time on Friday with a few of my coworkers. Made a reservation and was seated promptly when we arrived. Parking isn’t great depending on the time you go. Our server was great and was very knowledgeable with suggestions. My coworkers food came out before mine as the kitchen staff dropped my order and it had to be remade. They liked their dishes, mine, however was just ok. I ordered the Chicken Burrito (not pictured) and while good, it wasn’t great. I’ll definitely return however as I want to try a few things on their menu and the service was great!

Really cool new addition to Pineville. This restaurant used to be Pizza Hut directly beside Krispy Kreme.

We recently dined at Frida’s Mexican Cantina, a new addition to our neighborhood. The restaurant’s unique ambiance instantly captured our attention, providing a refreshing change from the usual dining options. Its popularity was made clear by the sheer number of people trying to get in, so we had high hopes. Unfortunately, we had to pass on the 90-minute wait on our first attempt to visit. When we returned a week or so later we made sure to arrive before the dinner crowd. It became apparent upon entering the restaurant that one of the reasons for the long wait was that it’s a rather small place, accommodating only a limited number of tables. While they do offer outdoor seating, the scorching heat made it less appealing on the day of our visit.

Food was absolutely incredible! We had the tostadas, tacos de birria, and fajitas. Also had a passion fruit mojito which was hands down, the best mojito I’ve ever had. Went in during a very busy lunch hour with my wife and 2 children (both under the age of 4) and the service was top notch. Danny and Leo took excellent care of us. The food was so good, that I ordered the soup to go and will have that tonight for dinner. Can’t wait to go back. The atmosphere and decor set it apart from the rest. Best Mexican food I’ve had in Charlotte in the 17 years I’ve lived here.

Mexican Restaurant Frida’s, new to the Pineville, Ballantyne area is phenomenal!!! There are other Mexican Restaurants in the area, but they pale compared to this place. Gorgeous artwork and architecture inside and outside of the restaurant.

First time visit to Frida’s. It’s a beautiful location with lots of art, murals, and atmosphere. The food was pretty good, our party had tacos de birria, carne asada, chicken quesadilla and burrito la Frida. There are several more premium-looking menu items I look forward to trying. The service, however, needs to be improved. We experienced just about everything – wrong order delivered (asked for a burrito without beans, the burrito had beans), item ordered not delivered at all (side of fries), beer not delivered until the entree was almost finished, a bill mix up with split checks, not enough water refills, etc. All in all, we will return, as this place has a lot of promise. We just hope the service improves.
