I’ve been to Freshies many times over the years. It’s just a little bit further away than other hot brunch spots in town. It is always busy and has never seemed worthwhile to me to wait, but my family loves it here. Known for gigantic cinnamon rolls, green chili grits and killer chai, that’s where the rationalization for the price tag stops. Their ‘healthy alternatives’ are limited & the bowls are really just granola with a sprinkle of other ingredients. Portions are good, but you get up-charged for everything. Breakfast burritos are about $25. A simple turkey sandwich served with chips was $22. Expect to wait 35-45 for food to hit the table and don’t expect a server to stop by for anything besides to take your full order in one go & then drop your bill at the end. Breakfast is served until 11 but they stop whenever they feel like it. You can do a lot better in Steamboat than this.

Don’t waste your time at this restaurant, there are plenty of other breakfast places in steamboat! The food was decent, but extremely pricey. We started off with the cinnamon roll which was the best part.

I really appreciate that this restaurant has several vegan options. That said, it was hard to tell what was and wasn’t vegan – luckily, the server was extremely friendly and willing to clarify what had animal products. They are able to do tofu substitutions on any of their dishes, which is super nice. The dish I ended up getting, the ‘Toasted Quinoa and Butternut Bowl’ with no cheese and a tofu substitute for the egg, was ok – but not something I would order again. The highlight for my non-vegan friends was the cinnamon roll, which was huge and delicious. The chai tea latte with coconut milk was also very yummy. Overall, though, it was very expensive and underwhelming.

Over all had a good experience here. The staff were very friendly, and the facilities were clean. I had the breakfast burrito, and it was very good, lots of flavors and generous portions I almost couldn’t finish it. I give them 4 stars because the menu prices are inflated i spent $30 on breakfast and definitely didn’t feel like it was $30 quality, but overall good experience.

We’ve been trying to eat here for several years but the wait for a table was always too long. Today we lucked out and the wait was only 15 mins. The food was great, and waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. This is a really nice place to come with large family groups, especially if you want to avoid the chaos of downtown Steamboat. I got the croissant breakfast sandwich, and it was delicious. I would highly recommend Freshies.

Great food and great service. Lauren was so welcoming, we went back for breakfast again before we left. Cinnamon rolls are dangerously delicious. Roasted potatoes had the perfect amount of crunch and the grits were fantastic (but spicy- you’ve been warned). More down to earth than the places downtown and a great atmosphere.

Went back for the first time in a while. The food was good, server could have been a little more attentive, but other than that a good place to eat.
