Freshies originated in 2004 when our customers began requesting fresh food. Maine needed something different than the traditional convenience store, that went beyond just gasoline, tobacco, and beer. This led us to taking hold of the opportunity to reinvent ourselves into something new to better serve you, to reinvent ourselves into a program focused around fresh food and healthier options.

There’s never pizza or it’s dry. During lunch rush is wild. Seems they’re too busy hanging out with the girl that hangs out all day then doing there job. Also they’re rude. It’s an unpleasant experience

Ordered 2 pizzas and wings. Went in to pickup at the Newport Maine location and 4 women 2 cooking and 2 at register. They are absolutely mean girls ♀️ I tried talking with the cooks and gave me a weird look while I had a smile on my face then was told to register when those 2 women were worse not friends. Mean girls!! The pizza was half cooked and they forgot my wings so I had to go back. They were nice enough to give them to me. Will never go back!!

Placed an online order for a 3 topping pizza here with some sides.
Shortly after placing the order we got a phone call from a woman who works there telling us they don’t have the toppings we ordered & then told us we should not even order online (crazy they have this service if they don’t want people to use it) we told her we would take 2 other toppings (she confirmed they had)
Got there to pick up & only received a 1 toppings pizza & no cookie we ordered. Asked for a refund of the items we didn’t receive ( 3 toppings on a pizza & cookie) and was told they “can’t give a refund for an online order) they handed us a dried out whoopie pie.

About a week or so ago I decided to order a pizza from the Newport Interstate Freshies location, I had ordered a pizza from the Elm st location a couple weeks prior and it was really good, I thought that if one Freshies pizza was good this one’s would be too, Boys was I wrong, the way it tasted reminded me of a pizza that had set out on the sideboard for a night and a day then warmed up in a microwave, the thought actually ran through my head as I was eating it…. NASTY!!! I will never order food from this Freshies location ever again and certainly don’t recommend them to anyone else.

I want to give a huge shout out to Kris. My son was in a very bad situation a few nights ago. She went above & beyond to help him in many ways that night & I am forever grateful. She showed him kindness & understanding & gave him back some of the faith he had lost in humanity. I live in Las Vegas. I couldn’t get to him & I was terrified for my son. But the compassion Kris & a few others in Newport showed him gave me some peace of mind that I desperately needed. As of 11:10am ET today, he’s on his way home! Thank you again & God bless!!
