Tiny, convivial bistro & bar offering Cajun-Creole classics alongside a big selection of craft beer.

Love love love this place! Hidden gem for sure! Always plenty of great options on the food menu with an awesome rotating beer selection. Especially beer that is often harder to come by that you aren’t likely to see in many other local restaurants. Frequently visit FQB and you should too!

Prior to yesterday, my last visit to this restaurant was in August 2014. I remember having such a phenomenal experience here last time that I was super stoked to check it out again. Unfortunately, the menu was not the same, and I wasn’t able to satisfy my craving for their Cajun pot pie, which I happily devoured last time. So I opted for their jambalaya, which did not disappoint. Good flavors and hearty portions. My boyfriend ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was too sweet and the maple syrup flavor was too rich, but the mashed potatoes were super creamy. The entrees came with cornbread and salad, and although the cornbread initially came out cold, our waitress kindly brought out more when we notified her. I also ordered their strawberry chocolate martini, which was delicious and strong. I could tell they did not use bottom shelf liquor when constructing that drink- I almost stumbled out of that restaurant after my meal (but then again, I’m also a lightweight). I’m glad I decided to come back to this place after 3+ years, but that Cajun pot pie needs to be brought back onto the menu!

Convenience fee, really???? A nearly 4% fee to pay using a credit card?
Let me start by saying the food and experience used to be good. Not so much any longer.
The service was incredibly slow. The food came to our table cold. Definitely not flavorful as it used to be.
To top it all off they announce (after you’ve eaten) that if you are going to use a credit card they charge you a nearly 4% fee on top of your bill. Seriously??? I’ve dined all over the world and have NEVER had that happen. Anywhere.
They do not charge you the fee if you use your debit card.
There is no sign or indication about this fee when you enter or order.

Amazing food choices. Specials are always on point and they have a decent beer selection as well as a full bar. Servers have mostly been friendly and professional. Good for romantic meal or even a seat at the bar for a drink. Tends to get a little cold in the dining room during winter.

My girlfriend and I went last night, and had an excellent experience. The place quite frankly is a bit outdated and could be considered a “dive” bar, but we like those kinds of places, especially ones with good food!
We started off with the Mac’ N’ Cheese Jumbalaya – let me just say this is a to-die-for mess of flavors that I would have to order the next time I set foot in this place.
I ordered the Louisiana Chicken, and she got the Shrimp Scampi. My chicken was tender and moist and her Scampi very delicious. Everything had this great French Creole kick to it that is a nice change of pace.
Service was excellent, our server knew all about the food and was very helpful. He got sat all at once and was still able to keep up for the most part.
I would recommend this place to anybody looking for good, unique food.

I have eaten here many times and the place is amazing. Try the Louisiana friend chicken. Its very special. The staff is great and very knowledgeable. The prices can not be beat. Last night My girlfriend and I had 3 drinks each, 2 appetizers and two of the more expensive dinners on the menu for under $80.00. And we had enough left over for an amazing breakfast. Do yourself a favor and get the cajun crawfish with creole mustard. We are considering having our wedding here. Its that amazing!!!!!

I went for their $6 burger night. They admitted the $6 burgers are a little smaller than their normal ones, but with fries and a small cup of slaw it was still a pretty filling meal. Also, it was better quality meat than your average restaurant, which was a nice touch.
I opted to take some of my burger home to save room for dessert. I got the banana foster bread pudding. The bread pudding square was ok, but the sauce was delicious. The bananas were just fresh slices, not caramelized, but I was still happy with the dessert overall.

After eating there before I had built up certain expectations, and brunch surpassed them. Crabby Taters were incredible and I got to try I bite of the Chicken and waffles and they were great! Looking forward to next time to try something else from the start menu, if I can keep from ordering the Crabby Taters.

I ordered Korean “Chicken” Tacos, which the menu stated were vegetarian and soy based. I’m 99% positive they were real chicken. (or they were the best imitation chicken I’ve ever had) They gave me stomach pains that night, so I’m sure they weren’t vegetarian. They were also so spicy they made me sweat. I usually love the heat.. but these were a bit too much. Waitress seemed flustered. Menu was a bit pricey. However, the corn bread was delicious, as was the crawfish soup. The soup is worth going back for!

I recommended French Quarter Bistro to friends last week who were looking for a late night snack and a beer. They stopped by on a Thursday night. The restaurant was closing but the very friendly hostess offered them the chance to sit in the bar and get food. They sat in the bar and tried for 40 minutes to get the bartenders attention but she was more interested in chatting with friends and people who she knew who walked in, than my friends. She finally came over and asked them if they wanted water. They said yes, and then waited again, after another 5 minutes of her chatting with her compatriots, they walked out. I posted a complaint on their Facebook page and it was removed within 2 minutes. I guess they don’t care to respond to complaints and would rather sweep them under the rug. I don’t think I’ll be going back any time soon. What horrible service!
