We live about 200 meters from The French Kiss and decided to try it for New Year’s Eve. The evening was a bit disappointing overall: the DJ wasn’t great, the starter buffet closed too early, and the portions for the main dish felt rather limited. That said, we do appreciate the effort of opening for such an event after only six months of operation.
We came back two weeks later for the Sunday brunch, and the experience was much better. The food is good quality, with all the classics you expect but also some more creative dishes that show the team’s personality. The only real downside was the drinks (orange juice and hot chocolate could be better).
There were activities for kids during the brunch, which we were a bit worried about as we don’t have any, but it was actually well managed and not noisy or disruptive. The team was also very friendly, although it’s hard to fully judge service in a mostly buffet-style format.
Overall, a place with real potential, especially for brunch, and worth coming back to.

It was nice to hear oldies but goodies music. I had the brunch for new year and it was amazing! However….I paid 12 euros for a simple gin tonic! Too expensive and that’s when I understood why most guests go to the city center where they say they pay 8-9 euros the same.

A nice, modern restaurant conveniently located next to Ubisoft Bordeaux. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and spoke good English to compensate for my lack of French skills.
Food arrived quickly and was enjoyable. One mixup with side dishes which was rectified immediately with no fuss.
