Wow! So good, tried escargot for the first time and now I’m a fan. Food was great, the espresso martini was so good as well. It’s small inside but cozy, I loved the food.

Absolutely loved this place! The ambiance is cozy, romantic, and feels like you’ve been transported to a little alpine chalet in Europe. The food was outstanding — rich flavors, perfectly prepared, and so comforting. Service was warm and attentive without being rushed. A must-visit every time we’re in Aspen!

Incredible experience! The place was very welcoming. We dared to try some dishes and cocktails, and honestly, none of them disappointed. Everything arrived super fast. Tomas and Juanma were incredibly attentive and friendly, and they made our evening perfect. Javi at the bar made some delicious cocktails, and Eliza, the manager, gave us a very warm welcome. I highly recommend it and would gladly return.

Honestly, a confusingly bad experience with a restaurant I was very excited to try. The pacing was poor. We were told our entree was ready not even halfway through our appetizers. We had to leave our entree sitting for 5+ minutes waiting for the wine we had ordered. Service felt like an afterthought.

This is the only time my fiancé and I have only had 2 glasses of wine at dinner, and not for a lack of trying. The wine was quite good, though, and the som was nice.

The palm salad was, honestly, pretty bad. The texture was difficult. The dressing was nice, but that can’t do a lot for an undercooked palm.

The escargot was great. Sauce was very nice and bread was thoughtful. I wish I had the wine that I ordered for this dish.

The beef bourguignon was fine. Really small serving for $58, but that’s Aspen. No real notes other than it was notably unremarkable.

The crepe suzette was confusing. It was a fine crepe in a good sauce. 20% of the crepe was presented under the ice cream dish, leaving that portion dense and malicious.

I don’t like to draw comparisons, but I live in New York, and this $400 meal would have been an afterthought in that city. The couple begging to order 2 bottles of wine was met with 2 individual glasses of, albeit good, wine and felt like an inconvenience. I expected a good meal, and was met with, I hope, an off night for a restaurant that I’ve heard great things about.

We had high hopes for the experience. However, we were extremely let down. Our reservation was at 5:30. We weren’t waited on until 6PM. Our waiter was very unpleasant and very unprofessional. We had to ask another waitress to find out who was our waiter so we could even order. He took our order and never came back. The fondue was very good, but the experience overall ruined that. When manager asked how our experience was we were very honest and she did try to make it right by covering our cocktails. However, after this experience I’m not sure we would ever return.

Quant dinning experience, sit at the bar and enjoy the sights and sounds of the kitchen. The outdoor heated dining experience is great for small groups. Love the food.

This place was an absolute gem. We dined here on our first night in Aspen after our baggage was delayed on arrival and our hotel check-in was a less than desirable experience. Anna greeted us and was SO incredibly kind. She made us feel comfortable and ensured we had a wonderful experience. Campbell took care of us at the table and provided excellent recommendations. All around a wonderful experience and atmosphere. It completely changed our mentality and we left in a great mood.

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. From the very beginning, the service provided by the waiter Campell left much to be desired: inattentive, uninterested, and unprofessional. As for the food, I ordered the cheese fondue and it was a huge letdown. While the flavor was acceptable, the preparation was terrible—the bottom was so thick and rubbery it felt like chewing gum, while the top was oily and watery, almost like melted butter mixed with water. This is far from what one expects from a proper fondue. Overall, both the service and the quality fell far below expectations. I will definitely not be returning or recommending this place.

We visit this place every year and it never disappoints. This is definitely one of Aspen’s best restaurants. If you visit, definitely try their fondue and french onion soup. They a have a great wine and champagne selection too. Make sure to make your reservation at least a month n advance as it fills up every single time. Enjoy!

Absolutely fantastic experience at the French Alpine Bistro. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch. Cozy French place located in basement cave that feels like you’re traveled to mountain chalet in Alps. High end feel but not stuffy or pretentious. We loved our mains – all on point Alpine dishes like Wiener Schnitzel, etc. server was super friendly. Highly recommend. One of our favorite dinners in Aspen.
