Not my type of pizza, but it’s not bad.
I’m a gig worker for food delivery and called 30–45 minutes in advance to avoid issues. On the phone, I was told there were two pizzas ahead of my pick up order and that it would take about 30 minutes. I also asked about slices for myself as it’s dinner time, and clearly explained that I am allergic to pork. I was told they only had cheese slices at the moment, but that a chicken pizza would be made and slices would be available in about 30 minutes. I confirmed the price, agreed to wait, and came based on that conversation.
When I arrived—after dealing with a very rude and aggressive man outside yelling at me about parking—the staff inside completely contradicted everything I was told. Instead of a fresh chicken pizza, I was offered old, dry slices that had been sitting out, including barbecue chicken slices sharing a tray with ham and pineapple, which is unacceptable given a pork allergy. I was also pushed toward old vegan slices that were clearly not fresh.
When I tried to explain the phone conversation and why I had called ahead, I was repeatedly interrupted, dismissed, and spoken to impatiently, as if my time and business didn’t matter. I had to ask multiple times what the point of calling ahead was if none of what was promised was going to happen.
What made this even more alarming was what I observed while waiting for the Uber Eats order. One worker was handling pork and non-pork pizzas with bare hands, moving between toppings without washing his hands, then handling cash, serving customers, touching his face, and immediately returning to making pizzas—no handwashing at any point. As someone with a food allergy, this was extremely concerning.
I went out of my way to communicate clearly and wait patiently. Instead, I felt completely disregarded. Based on how I was treated and the food-handling practices I witnessed, I will not be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone who values basic respect, communication, and food safety.
