The proprietess was friendly enough, when she wasn’t on the phone it talking to her friend who came in. The “panini” was large and pretty good, but it was just a grilled sandwich. I had the turkey provolone (pictured) and my mother had the white pizza. Beverages and chips are self-serve. And the antiques are expensive!

I thought I had already rated this place, but this is one of our favorite central mass lunch spots and place to shop for some unique New England finds. The owner and staff are very friendly and very authentic. If they have the corned beef Ruben as a special I highly recommend it.

If you are looking for a small, local restaurant serving soups and sandwiches, I would highly recommend this place. We came here for lunch and ordered cups of their soup of the day, corn chowder, a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, and a BLT. The corn chowder came out with a large square of cornbread. The chowder was classic and delicious, as was the cornbread! The sandwiches were wonderful also. This restaurant stays with the basics and makes them wonderfully. The cook managed to grill the ham and cheese sandwich perfectly, melting the cheese without blackening the bread. We will be coming again!

We happened to be driving by and decided to stop and stretch our legs since we were already about a hour driving. We were so happy we did, this place has that mom and pop feel that is lacking in many of our communities. The two ladies that were attending the grill were more that welcoming. To say this place feels like a blast from the past in an understatement. From the staff to the food to the thousands of items they have I’m sure those of us who value small town hospitality will not be disappointed. I will say what items they had I urged you reading my comment to stop in sometime. You won’t be disappointed!

I ordered a turkey sandwich to go that was awesome. Very fresh and great bread.

This store has all the charm of a true country store combined with an antique store. It’s a great place to grab a tasty treat and search for old treasures. It’s a must stop if you are driving by and are inclined towards antiques.

Good chili, but everything was in paper or plastic – chili in a paper cup, sour cream from a squeeze bottle, cheese from a plastic bag – and all offered like that – from a squeeze bottle into my chili in front of me, cheese forked out of a plastic bag into my cup. None of it was inexpensive – ice cream was $7-8-9! – but service and presentation was pretty low rent.

We ended up here by accident and explored the outside first. We were thoroughly delighted when we got inside. It is a walk down memory lane where you will most likely find something set reminds you of past family members. So glad we got lost and couldn’t find what we were originally looking for. This place is a gem.

Stopped on way between point A and B simply because we were hungry. Stepping out of the car an onto the front porch, we walked into magic. As delicious the food so was the candy-to-the-eye of all the magnificent array of antique that welcomes.
Thank you Lisa for the amazing sandwich and hot dog. Thank you also to the mister with magnificent white beard.

Drive by here all the time and finally checked it out. A small cafe with old saloon vibes (think: diner stools at a bar) offering ice cream and a small assortment of other things. It wasn’t busy and the icecream was pretty average (which is to say tasty). If you’re looking for a quick pitstop on Rt. 2 for icecream it’s not a bad choice — just an average choice
