We were in town for the Chili Bowl Nationals. This place was mentioned a lot by the media. Food was great. We all had the chicken fried steak which was good. Not the best I’ve ever had but good. The mashed potatoes were EXCELLENT!!! Alan loved his lemon pie. Our waitress was great. Very nostalgic place.

I’ve been here 3 times in a week. The food is good, the prices are reasonable and the service is probably the best I’ve had in at least ten years! I will come back any chance I get and I absolutely recommend this place!!!

Not terrible, not great. Waitress MIA talking to other customers, had to hunt down someone to fill our drinks.Never refilled my coffee the entire meal. THE BUSBOY WAS AMAZING AND DID ALL HER WORK. Pricey as the meals are, to have terrible service also was a double negative.

I love their food, so close to homemade. Been to the one by I44 and new Sapulpa road twice and have not been disappointed. The pies are HOMEMADE, and you can taste and see it. And then there are the hand made cinnamon rolls. Delicious. And if you like fried mushrooms and fried green tomatoes they are a must.

Great food, i have tried the chicken fried steak a few time and their blt, there are lots of options and portions were large. Last time I tried the vegetable soup instead of a salad with my meal and it was very good. Food was out fast and it was a good home cooked meal feel without me having to have the talent to cook a meal. I finished it all and left stuffed. Next time I plan to try and save room for some of that good looking pie in their case!

My wife and I like to find places we haven’t eaten before and this place was next on our list. I had an omelette and my wife had a combination breakfast. The food was really good and they weren’t sma portions. We feel that we got really good food for a really good price. We didn’t feel rushed or forgotten about. They were busy but they had enough staff to make sure everyone was taken care of.

Very kind and attentive waitress as well!

Highly recommend this place. The desserts look absolutely amazing, but I’m on a diet, and had the awesome roll, and mashed potatoes and gravy already!

Excellent place to stop! Forget all the fast food that surrounds this gem and just go here. Good food and great prices. No I’m not paid to say this but every time I come I’m never disappointed. Take it from a trucker we know good food. Family owned and friendly atmosphere food is always good. The last time I got the chicken and dumplings to go and it was still great. If you’re looking for a place to get full this is it. Lots of locals come here from what I gather. This time I had the salmon it wasn’t overcooked the seasoning on top gave it that added touch along with the bed of jasmine rice. The potato salad was good as well. Everything was good I wanted to emphasize those two menu items. Best of all their prices aren’t high you get a lot of food for your money. Part of what makes America great is our diners and cafe’s.
