We came to celebrate my birthday, and the experience was outstanding from the moment we arrived. The service was impeccable, attentive, professional, and well-timed without ever feeling rushed or intrusive.

The staff made the evening feel genuinely special, and the overall atmosphere and food quality were excellent. Everything felt polished and intentional, which made the night memorable.

I’ve been hearing great things about Freeland’s and finally tried it last night. I loved the vibe as soon as we walked in, and the patio where we ate was also nice. The historic touches in the decor and atmosphere give it so much character. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and while the menu feels elevated, everything was still really approachable. We ordered the pumpkin gnocchi, NY strip loin (not pictured), and the caramel corn sundae. All were good, but the gnocchi and sundae were definite standouts. For a nice restaurant and at the price point, I’m more critical, but overall I really enjoyed Freeland’s and will definitely go back!

What an amazing meal and experience! We chose to sit outside and it was a little bit chilly but the kind wait staff checked with us several times to make sure we were comfortable and didn’t want to move. They even have blankets for you to use if you get chilly outside! The waitstaff was overall very attentive, friendly, and asked about allergies before I even had a chance to mention (I have a shellfish allergy so I mention it every time I eat out).

The atmosphere is really neat. The house is a historic Carmel home that has been converted into a restaurant. They shared a binder with the history of the house in it and some photos.

Because the food is fresh and made to order, you will have to wait while they cook it. Everything was gorgeous and well-prepared. I got pumpkin gnocchi which was a new experience for me and every bite was amazing. There were all kinds of textures and flavors that somehow worked well. My husband got duck with pureed sweet potatoes and said he could have eaten a big bowl of them.

We got the ricotta donuts for dessert and OMG. I think we’d go back for those even if we hated all the food! Lol! The coffee ice cream was amazing. The waitress said they make it in house and it tasted so fresh.

There was unfortunately an extremely rude table of folks out on the patio with us who were unkind to the waitstaff (loudly; we overheard them and weren’t even next to them) and were exaggerating wait time for food (on an extremely busy night). If they happen to leave a negative review, I hope folks see mine and realize the staff did nothing wrong. It was a busy Friday night at a brand new fresh food restaurant, end of story. I strongly recommend this restaurant!!!

Genuinely one of the best meals we’ve had! We came here for date night and both of us had one of the specials- NY strip and gnocchi. The freshest truffle you can find in Indiana. We didn’t have a single thing to complain about. In fact, we thought everything was exceptional. Luke took excelcellent care of us. He had great recommendations and was so attentive and kind. Food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Drinks were so different in the best way. The vibes were impeccable. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just going out for date night, come here! I promise you won’t be disappointed. This is our new favorite spot in Carmel! Last thing- don’t skip the espresso martini- thank me taker.

Just discovered Freeland’s and I’m already planning my next visit. The estate setting feels like dining in a beautiful private home, and every dish showcases ingredients so fresh you can taste the terroir. This is farm-to-table done right. Unpretentious.

Mark my words: Freeland’s is going to become THE destination. Yes, they just opened, but the attention to detail, the setting, and that perfect balance of rustic elegance screams “future institution.” Get in now before the reservations become impossible.

Absolutely GEM of a place! From the stunning building itself, knowledgeable and friendly staff, uniquely crafted cocktail menu and food that is as beautifully plated as it is completely delicious – this place is perfect for a celebratory occasion or a nice meal out on a weekday.

The seating is comfy and space stylish, open kitchen, clean and chic with diverse offerings for all palates (adventurous offerings as well as creative takes on favorite classics)

Can’t wait to be back!

We have been watching this being built and couldn’t wait to see the inside of this beautiful old home. Our server, Mitchell was fantastic and attended to all of our needs and was very knowledgeable. We started with dirty martinis that were extra special with the hand stuffed blue cheese olives.
The Somalia suggested a great bottle of Bordeaux, which paired well with the sirloin steak. We sampled the Heirloom tomatoes, oysters, Buratta cheese and they were all phenomenal.
The Desserts were also amazing. Will definitely come back.

We had a really nice meal here. Service started out a bit slow but then was great the rest of the night. They have a pretty good selection of wines and a good cocktail menu. I got an old fashioned to start that was good and switched to wine.

The restaurant is in the middle of a cul-de-sac with no real sign outside. It is in a two story house. It seem a bit unassuming but is decorated nice inside. Fairly spacious. A lot of the tables share a long booth bench. We were sat at a 2 person high top table by the bar. We were able to park right in front of the restaurant. I am not sure the closest place to park if you don’t get parking outside.

We ordered two appetizers: carrot and grilled cabbage.

They were able to modify them to make them vegan. They were both delicious. The grilled cabbage was exceptionally good. For an entree I ordered the cauliflower steak and my wife got the New York strip. She really enjoyed the steak and the cauliflower steak was great. It was a large portion. I will definitely be back and would probably get the same things because they were so good.
