Not from the area, we were looking for a diner to have brunch. Our waitress was friendly and kept checking up on us – apologized for how long the wait is. We sat there for about FIFTY minutes until our food came out!! After that long wait… all of our meals weren’t that great 🙁 We were disappointed and honestly should have gotten a little discount for such a long wait. (Picture shows a chili cheeseburger – 6/10)

1st time visit. Very spacious inside from the outside it looks small. Ordered breakfast omelettes and sausage were delicious. Waitress was extremely nice. Definitely would eat there again maybe try a lunch next time. Large menu to pick from.

We like the menu selections as well as the friendly service. It’s a nice diner, and their desserts look incredible! One day we will try them, but we have only been there in the morning for breakfast so far.

We were driving from NY to Knoxville TN and found the listing for a diner off the interstate online. We got a bit nervous because it was a long drive from I-81 but was definitely worth the trip. Food was fresh and homemade and the prices were fantastic. You could tell the place was popular with the locals which is a good sign. People working there were very friendly and attentive.

Breakfast. Two eggs over medium, hash browns, well done toast with butter and coffee this morning. Everything was perfect! Servers were exceptional. Excellent value.

Food was good. The only thing I didn’t like was when a young waitress dropped a menu on the dirty floor, she picked it up & put it right on the table in front of a customer. The floor was extremly dirty from salt melt. She did not clean/sanitize the menu. This is a very easy fix. Other than that it was an ok diner experience if you are hungry & in the area.

Great breakfast! Coffee was good. Homefries were excellent. Bacon was just ok. Then I got it crispy, and it was SO GOOD. Lots of options. I would definitely come back. I would love to try their lunch. UPDATE, I tried lunch, and it is amazing, too. Soups are incredible. Burgers and sandwiches are amazing! Service is awesome as always.

This is a lovely diner at the top of the Mtn in Freeland. We walked in and were seated right away. A lot of breakfast selections to choose from. We had the HeMan breakfast which came with 3 eggs, choice of meat, 2 pancakes, home fries or hash browns, toast, juice and coffee or tea. I ordered it because I like having a variety of foods to eat. I ate as much as I could but did not finish it. It was a lot of food for a very reasonable price and I will get it again because it was extremely tasty! Everyone we came across was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The parking lot isnt very large so try and come at a time that it might not be so crowded.

Looking for a place to stop for breakfast while traveling on route 81 in Pennsylvania. Found this little gem of a diner using Google Maps. It was a bit off the beaten track but turned out well worth the 14 minute detour up a mountain road. we were warmly greeted by a very friendly waitress. our drink order was served within a minute. we just ordered basic breakfast fare which came to the table very quickly. Everything was hot and well cooked and large portions .Pricing was more than reasonable . The waitress checked on us a few times and kept our coffee cups filled. I would very rarely Give a diner five stars but the freeland diner was exceptional. If you are in the area it is well worth the drive up the mountain to go to this little gem. As diners go, I give them my highest recommendation
