At first glance- store was dirty and was shocked that the grade was a 98. Lady that took order was rude and huffed when order was placed. Was charged a higher amount than what was posted on the menu. When asked about the higher charge lady seemed offended. Prices are ridiculously high and food was not worth spending 30$ for 2 dessert items. Do not recommend. The outside is filthy do not eat here!!

Incredibly disappointing SCAM experience here! We came for ice cream and ordered a single scoop in a bowl, a single scoop in a cone, and a milkshake. There weren’t prices posted anywhere and we didn’t ask (our mistake, I guess), but my card was charged over $40! Ridiculous and obscene!

Freedom Ice Cream Shop in Asheboro is a total rip-off. Outrageously priced, a pathetic selection of flavors. The service? Slow and uninterested. The shop itself? zero charm. Save your cash and your time—this place is not worth a single scoop.
A signal small cup of anything will cost you anywhere from $13 to $15 which is insane and all artificial sweeteners and flavorings.

Had a wonderful experience at this family-owned ice cream shop! My experience was 10/10 AND the ice cream was DELICIOUS!! The pricing makes sense since everything is homemade and inflation .

Everyone was so nice and helpful. And cool part about this place is that if you don’t like how something is made you can nicely tell them what’s wrong.

Will definitely come here again! Next time I will post photos because my phone never eats first

I had no problem ordering in English. Quick service, yummy ice cream! The only thing I would say is the cones were slightly stale. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. When I go back again, if the cones are fresh, I’ll change my review. I’ll definitely give them another try. The strawberry ice cream was really good! We also tried Gansito and Oreo, two more great flavors.

Absolutely love the environment and our treat. Mangonada was on par with my expectations and presented very beautifully.

I wish there was option to put 0 stars because they are overpriced as hell here and it’s $14 for a fresas con crema and it’s not even good. Would definitely not come here again.

Incredibly disappointing experience after visiting this place for the first time. I’m new to the area & was craving fruta picada from a neveria like La Michoacana – this freedom ice cream shop was the only thing similar in the area. My husband got a raspado & I got a cóctel de fruta (which, to their credit, was much at larger than I anticipated), however the total came up to $30!? The shaved ice was mostly water & my husband ended up throwing it out. The fruit, although being in a large tray, was not worth the $21, as half of the fruit was no where near ripe enough to consume (we were told of the pricing after we had inquired for the reasoning behind the $30 charge, there is no clear signage & $30 is ridiculous for fruit & shaved ice). I had approached the owner after I had received my order about the mango being white and unripe & she unapologetically offered no solution other than “that’s how I sell fruit.” Coming from a large city, I have never seen such outrageous prices for such poor quality food and shameful customer service. If a place chooses to price themselves higher up, it would make sense if their products were good quality & served with excellent customer service but neither are available at this establishment. I will not be returning, nor would I ever recommend anyone shop here, as I would rather travel 30 minutes to other establishments in Greensboro, where I’ve had much better experiences than at Antojitos Lore/Freedom Ice Cream Shop.

Lovely service, excellent icecream – got the the helado con churros, which came with a mountain of icecream and two churros! So glad we stopped here on our way through.
