I want to give a huge shoutout to Tony at Freebirds for providing incredible customer service.
I was in the middle of placing my order when I realized my credit card was locked and the app on my phone wasn’t working so I could unlock it. I had to step away from the line to try and fix the issue, which was honestly pretty embarrassing since I had already started my order.
After a few minutes of me trying to resolve it, Tony came over and insisted that I go ahead and finish placing my order and that I could complete the payment once the issue with my card was fixed. That level of understanding and empathy meant a lot in that moment.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by a young lady, but Tony going out of his way to help me during an awkward situation really stood out. His kindness spared me even more embarrassment and reminded me that great customer service is absolutely still alive.
I’m truly thankful for how he handled the situation, and it made my experience at Freebirds that much better.

The big steak bowl should be called the little steak bowl. For 16.99 I’d expect to get more food. The portion received felt like a half order. Only a few pieces of steak that totaled to about 2.3 Oz of meat. Not to mention some of the steak was rubbery. Freebirds has gone way downhill and should be avoided.

My experience at Freebirds Mexican Restaurant was very pleasant. Curtis took the time to explain the food, answered our questions, and even gave us samples, which made such a difference. He completely changed my perspective on Freebirds after we had a not-so-great first experience at another location.
His patience and kindness truly stood out, especially toward me and my daughter. Because of Curtis, we left feeling welcomed, informed, and excited about the food. Customer service like this makes all the difference, thank you for turning our experience around!

Wow. If this is what passes for a good burrito in the Austin area, I feel sorry for Texas. This was hands down the worst burrito I’ve ever had. And for the price? Holy overpriced garbage Batman. The steak was gristle, they were out of guacamole, out of most salsas, the tortilla was cold and not wrapped properly, so the filling just fell out to make a liquid diarrhea-esque mess on the metal tray. I took two bites for good measure and tossed the rest. What a waste of time and money.

Good customer service. I had a discrepancy with my account and Tony the supervisor took the time to not only give me freebieds customer service number but also got on his laptop to seek my account, rectify the issue and explain in full detail what most likely happened between my 2 accounts.

I ordered via Uber which provided amazing professional communication and fast delivery. On the flip side, I was excited about this first time experience with Freebirds. However, it ruined my evening. I did not receive what I ordered. I did not receive what was advertised by a long shot. My burrito was mostly rice. If I wanted rice I could have just gotten Jasmine rice from a Chinese restaurant :/ areas the receipt of what I ordered. Look at the 2nd to last picture which is from their advertisement. The first two pics are what I received. UPDATE: I was able to go to the restaurant in person today around 4:40pm. The staff was AMAZING. The manager Keiston followed through on my phone call feedback. Between him and the staff on shift, everything was amazing. Above all I appreciate their politeness, understanding, and willingness to remake my meal without hesitation . Last phot is the UPDATE 5 stars all around for their response and remake.

I WAS a loyal customer. Last 3 times I went in, the place was FILTHY. Food looked like it had been there for weeks and the staff was, well let’s just say less than thrilled to be there. The last few times I went, I was already there and pressed for time, so I went ahead and ordered. As they made the food I watched the slop being put in. Im not sure why I accepted it. More to the point, Im not sure why they would serve it. Food was cold and CRUNCHY. Rice shouldn’t be crunchy. Steak was cold and the beans were soup. This happened twice. Giving them the benifit of the doubt, I went back today. After looking at the food line, the unhappy employees and just general uncaring attitude, I left and decided to go to Chipoltle instead. Im so glad I did. I will miss Freebirds as it was. Not as it is. Sadly, I wont be returning to Freebirds. The place is just gross.

First time at a free birds in the Austin Metro area. Great service and definitely a good burrito as well. Service was very friendly and very fast (it was not crowded when we went in on a Saturday evening). We got two burritos with the spicy wrap, one with beef, the other with vegan chorizo. The vegan chorizo is OK I wouldn’t call it my favorite vegan/vegetarian protein. But there are a lot of options to toppings into the burrito like tomato, onion, corn cheese, etc. The real deal are all of their sauces. Thankfully, we were warned about how hot they are and offered a taste to test of some of the spicier sauces. When the servers/labels tell you that the sauce is spicy, believe them.
The round rock University Boulevard location has plenty of seating. We’ll definitely be back for the polite service and a really decent burrito.

It needs major work in costumer service. The employees making the food looked mad, depressed or moody. The portions presented were small, and when we asked for more stuff they looked at you like they were bothered and immediately yelled at the cashier to add extra to the bill. Money is not a problem, but at least make the amount worth the money!! My daughter’s bowl looked like a kids meal but charged at regular price. The bathrooms were disgusting and smelled like portable bathrooms. The whole environment was sad and negative overall. I liked my over priced burrito,but for me the biggest downfall was costumer service. I dont know if we’ll come back in the future.
