Staff and food were absolutely amazing! I haven’t been into a freebirds since they changed the decor in the dining room but these guys made it worth the wait. I have nothing negative to say about anything! Wonderful and friendly staff, specifically Tata and Makena.

We have eaten here several times. The food is delicious, the staff are always friendly regardless of how long the line is, and their prices are reasonable. The tables are always clean, too. The nachos are the best!

We had an issue with our Freebirds rewards account because of their new system, and Jared went absolutely above and beyond to help us out. He went into the backend, found our information, fixed the problem, and had everything updated within minutes. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help. Madison was just as kind and welcoming, making the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable.

The food was great—as always—but honestly, the service from Madison and Jared is what made our visit exceptional. Their kindness, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile made a bigger impression than anything else. They’re the reason we’ll keep coming back. Thank you both for making our day!

This was my very 1st time eating here and I was Extremely impressed with the food, friendly and professional people working there and the location was also very easy to find. I had a Super Monster vegan burrito and it was Delicious and I had them make it spicy for me! I HIGHLY Recommend eating here and I’m looking forward to my next visit! Thank you Very much for an awesome experience and I’ll see you again next time I’m in Houston Texas!

Great place to eat burritos and others. This is my son’s facvorite burrito place, and he says Freebirds is much better than Chipotle. So nice and kind staffs! Definitely, I strongly recommend this place. I always love this place.

California hippies created this fast-casual burrito joint, which is a credible alternative to Chipotle. Reviewing Freebirds without comparing it to the alternative across the street is hard. Both offer fresh ingredients; Chipotle has higher quality, while Freebirds has more variety. I also find it easier to get a healthier lunch at Freebirds, but both restaurants have very high sodium levels. If you are vegan or vegetarian, Freebirds is an excellent choice. This location, which opened in 2011, has undergone a few iterations and, more recently, had a surface remodel, making it lighter and brighter. As the chain scaled up, it eliminated some more charming aspects, downplaying motorcycles and the Statue of Liberty and eliminating the foil sculptures. The staff has always been friendly, however inconsistent; your meal may vary greatly depending on “who” actually puts it together. This restaurant has always been a bit dirty, especially the single-person bathroom. I was a regular at Freebirds for many years, but the high sodium levels drove me off. While it was a great place to get a cheap, highly customizable, relatively healthy lunch, inflation (or other factors) have changed that proposition; prices have risen. My salad, drink, tax, and tip cost over $18; I still left hungry. I can’t see that value so that I won’t be back anytime soon. Regardless of my opinion, this restaurant stays busy.

This was my first time visiting the chain, and I like the overall concept. The customer service was good, and I was served quickly.

While there were some practical options to customize your order, the ingredients lacked flair. Many items were either under-seasoned or too dry, especially the meats, which felt bland and uninspired. The inability to add salt or pepper suggests they may be catering to a very basic palate.

I’d likely return for a reliable, no-frills meal, but it’s a missed opportunity. A little more attention to the core ingredients could make this place a standout.

We love when we can have freebirds for a meal. No matter who in the family is around to eat, there is something for everyone to choose from. With the variety of ingredients to choose from and the number of ways they can be put together everyone is always happy with their meal. On top of that, the servers are engaging during the process of assembling your always tasty meal.

Wow, Freebirds. I thought the Spring/249 location a one off. But you have changed. The woodlands location is no better. The food is not the same quality anymore. The portions are so small now for the $$$. The chicken is so tiny now. What is mgt thinking?

17.99 for a freebirds + queso + guac + drink = RIP OFF

Hope you revert to the old freebirds.

This place used to be SUPER busy during lunch time. This place had 2-3 clients, no line. Sad to see!

The Atmosphere inside is just boring now too, it used to be fun with foil origami things all over.

At least the staff wasn’t too bad. But they seemed bored

I order the Monster Size bowl very often, but today I received what looked like a half portion. The total cost of the meal—without the Uber tip—was $26, so it’s really disappointing to get much less food than usual. I’m pretty sure they mistook it for a regular-sized bowl.
