We came in to try this place on New Year’s Eve. Probably a bad choice by us, because the wait was long and then the service took forever. All in all, we were there over 2 hours, for dinner. Our kids were over it, but that being said, the food was delicious and our server was super nice, despite being slow. We ordered a basket of cheese curds, and breadsticks for an appetizer since we were hungry. Both very good. Two of my kids shared a pizza and the rest of us got burgers. I will say, my burger was really good, I will probably get it again, but not with candied jalapeño as it made it a bit spicy for me. The bowling area looked cool and when we come back, we’ll probably try that. The fries are thin and really good as well.

Love their burgers cooked to order perfectly. Try the salmon salad and ask for french dressing– eats like a meal! Great decor and lodge-like feel makes up part of the very comfortable atmosphere. The parking lot is often filled with ATV’s and friendly locals. Don’t miss out on this place if you’re in Roscommon!

Restaurant is very large but on Friday night only 1 dining area was open. We had a choice of one table or sitting at the bar. We ordered cheese curds and pretzels with jalapeno cheese dip both were tasty. Mushroom soup was amazing. Then had the walleye with capers it was delicious and a house salad. It took a long time for the main course to be served. Servers appeared to have too many tables assigned for quick and easy service. The hostess helped out a lot.

Second time at Fred’s and both times the food was on point! Ordered a Rueben, a bunch of appetizers, mac & cheese yummy yummy! They served rolls with a creamy cherry butter that was AMAZING! Beers are cold and prices are good. Best restaurant we’ve visited up north so far! Highly recommend if you visit the local areas to eat here! Sooo good!

Fred’s of Roscommon is a really cool spot to grab a bite to eat, bowl a few rounds or shoot a few games of pool! The atmosphere is absolutely what you would expect for an ” up North gathering spot ” The service was great and the place was super clean inside! The pizza was decent, even though it could have been cooked long. Really great homemade buttermilk ranch

Stopped in on my way to St. Clair, MI. Great food, great service. Very comfortable place to stop. Lobster Spinach dip & Hungarian Mushroom Soup really hit the spot. The burgers & steaks looked great, too. Keep up the good work, Zeek!

This is my second time eating here when I come to town to visit. The staff and food has always been good. It seems to be a fairly popular place for eating, drinking, and bowling. I can only speak for the restaurant part of it but was great other than a 30 minute wait to be seated. Our waitress was amazing. She rocks at her job. For a party of 8 we had 0 complaints. Other than the long wait what a great experience. Would recommend

Had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! Our waitress, Aubrey, was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was amazing from start to finish, full of flavor and beautifully presented. I also tried the Flip Flop cocktail, and it was so good—refreshing and perfectly balanced. Highly recommend this spot, and if you get Aubrey as your server, you’re in great hands!
