Small place, feels homey. Great if you’re craving a traditional, home-cooked style breakfast, with prices of under $10 per plate. Staff is friendly, service is good, food comes out quickly and is hot, fresh, and tastes great. Plenty of parking, but the waiting area is on the smaller side.

This restaurant was featured on only in Ohio site. Idk what they were smoking when they went there but it is absolutely nothing to write about. It is a very old building to where the bathrooms could not be used by anybody with a disability. The food is mediocre at best. The waitress was pleasant. Maybe I’m not very familiar with Akron, but with a city that size there should be something better to write about. It’s location is in an undesirable area as well.

Want a good down-home breakfast? This is the place. The food was excellent; eggs over easy, corned beef, hash brown potatoes, sourdough bread, a large, really large, pancake, and cranberry juice. The potatoes lacked seasoning and needed to cook a bit more but that’s minor. I had heard how good the food was and finally took the opportunity to experience it. It was well worth every bite. The space is small so get there early. The personnel was warm and welcoming and the prices reasonable. The portions are huge which makes a meal a “good bang” for a buck. Put this one on your bucket list. The photo shows a half portion. An order is twice the amt. Bravo Fred’s.

Really great food at this diner- they are only open a few days of the week but well worth the wait. Large portions so you get a great value for the money. We’ve tried the breakfasts and burgers and everything has been great. We have only done take out but to dine in it looks like a really cute diner to sit and have a meal.

Such a relaxing atmosphere, friendly customers, waitresses were so friendly, and attentive. The food was absolutely the best I’ve had lately. A Swiss mushrooms onion burger, it was huge and cooked perfectly. A huge portion of fries, and a bowl of stuffed pepper soup, omg delicious
