I love red beans & rice ! I can make a mean dish of myself lol – so I was super excited I would rate actually 3.5 out of 5 – I like mine better ! Sorry Fred – but the service was good ! My friend liked the drink the Roger ! It is Very good ! Atmosphere average – if u like Freddie mercury this is ur spot -the restroom is a shrine to him – I would try something else next time !

I love Fred’s Around the corner for so many occasions. The staff is always so friendly and the atmosphere is fun and clean. I’ve been here for trivia, to grab a bite, or for drinks on a Saturday and it never fails. Today I came in a group and all servers took their time to know us and create a good vibe. We even got to sample any drink that we were thinking of. Best spot for a drink in market square

We had a delightful dinner, and a set of very tasty local beers from this establishment. I’d love to describe this place as a refined ‘Dive Bar’. The food was really good. It was laid back and everybody was personable who worked there. When we were there, a number of college kids (University of Tennessee is close) were there playing card/board games, and using their laptops to do school work. It was a quirky, not at all pretensious place based on ‘Fred’. You have to experience it to know what I mean!

What a great find! Clean, not too big, cozy perfect atmosphere! The best part was the great service and food quality. We ordered Red beans and rice, Jambalaya and also the gumbo! They have full portion but also smaller which was great for our group who all wanted to try a bit of everything. The best part was the incredible service from the bar tender! She was super patient and gave great advice! Love this place!

Wow. Happy with this Cajun food and beer bar. We ordered Sopin and Spicy and Prim and Proper sandwiches with gumbo. Oh what a flavor perfect with no 6 Iron Forge little pigeon Lager. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Very casual hangout to have beer, mocktail and food while watching games on the big screen. Will be back.

Wife and I there again last night. We go at least once a month on date night. Beer selection is good. Food is awesome! Got the chicken nachos (best in town says wife) and 1/2# shrimp with mixed sauce. Split them both. Amazing.

So many non alcoholic options! Even have one on draft. Great atmosphere and location. Guinness on draft too. Fred bean and rice was amazing Cajun food and I appreciate the massive selection of hot sauces.

I can’t say enough good things about Fred’s. For me it’s the vibe. The owners, Zack and Amy are two of the most genuinely wonderful people I’ve met. When I worked nearby, I went there as often as I could because of the people. Their beer list is incredible and the food too. But the people make the spot feel comfortably inspirational and aspirational.
