Social Profile:

We began our operation in 1994, within months of the passage of legislation allowing brewpub operation in the state of Texas. We found a public eagerly awaiting the enjoyment of our cold, freshly brewed beers along with our freshly prepared, flavorful foods. In our fair little town, sidewalk consumption is allowed, so that you can take our cold brews on your sidewalk stroll! We are located in the heart of the historic, downtown shopping district in beautiful Fredericksburg, Texas. To house our operations, we restored a great two story 1890s building to historical standards. The first floor of the building provides space for our dining area, biergarten, and a lager room. The second floor provides space for our unique Bed & Brew rooms.

Cool place to sit down at and grab a bite or try their different beers. They have a variety on the menu if you want German or American food. I tried the Ruben sandwich and it was really good. Had the German potato salad with it as my side- it was “ok”. Service was good and friendly except she never refilled are drinks. My kids had the chicken fried chicken and grilled salmon and loved it.

I have been here at least three times and it never disappoints. This time I sat at the bar and enjoyed some flights of their house beers. I also tried the meatloaf, which was delicious. It was bacon wrapped and had a tomato sauce spiked with some of their house made red ale. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. Got a hot pretzel to go for late night snackies and that hit the spot too.

This brewery is conveniently located in the heart of downtown. It offers food, a wide selection of beer, and an old timey environment. We had to leave and come back later one night due to noise. The restaurant can get very loud when busy.

The food was alright. It was good but not amazing. The breading on the catfish was delicious but very thick. Sometimes you would only be eating breading with no fish. the crab cakes were like potato cakes! Very interesting but good.

The beer was good. It had a strong hops taste if that’s what you’re into.

We’ll be back if convenient!

I went in hoping for good food and cold beer and I was not disappointed.

Ordered:
1. Bottle Caps – spicy & perfect
2. Artichoke dip – cheesy & hot
3. Scotch egg – I’d eat 5 if I could
4. Blue salad – fresh and light
5. Sausage sampler – a lot of food!
6. Wings over Germany – spicy! Very good
7. Beer flight – all great except the Hefe, I didn’t like it

There were a lot of people but it didn’t feel crowded. Excellent experience.

This location offers great food and brews. We tried their black and blue salad and chicken wrap. Both of this were so good and paired well with their brews. They also offer wine, kids menu, dessert which we tried their chocolate chip pecan pie and if you don’t mind your diabetes flairing up try this bad boy absolutely decadent. Overall a great experience.

We stopped in here the other day for a beer and an appetizer. We were greeted at the door and invited to sit at the bar which we did. Sitting at the bar would be much more pleasant if it weren’t for the downdraft of the air conditioning unit that dumps cold air on every other seat at the bar. The beers were decent and the food was served quickly. The bartender was absent and seemed to have other things going on so I gave a lower score for service, he never checked back with us after delivering our food to see how it was or see if we needed anything.

Food and atmosphere were great but service was a bit slow. Their in-house beers were good and definitely recommend trying them out.

Fredericksburg Brewing Company is a longtime staple in the heart of Main Street—and it’s easy to see why! The German decor inside and out adds to the charm, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming.

We stopped in for one of their sourdough pretzels and were so impressed. They offer both sweet and savory options, and since they’re made from sourdough, they’re a great choice for vegans or anyone with lactose intolerance. (Hard to find in a pretzel!)

Whether you’re there for a full meal, a cold beer, or just a quick snack, this place has something for everyone. If you’re visiting Fredericksburg, especially for the German vibes, you should definitely make time to stop by for a pretzel—and maybe a pint!
