We had heard good and bad about Freddie’s. Good from friends. So we decided to give it a try. Kara had a coffee crusted pork chop with cherry glaze. It was delicious. I had a rib eye that was really tasty and good perfectly. We were full but orders a cheesecake to go and it is almost a pound by itself. We will go back.

Went there for the first time and I’m sorry but there was a couple of things that made my experience not pleasurable. Our waitress was very busy to the point that she was not attentive to us like other servers where to other guests around us. Unfortunately my steak was half raw half medium, I have to say that the part that was medium cooked was very delicious. We also tried the brick chicken and it was a lot of great potential but it was very salty. Like that char on it was very good but the saltiness ruined it. Drinks were delicious no complaints on them! Once we finished our food the waitress took long to come and once she showed we were told that the one dessert was sold out during lunch that someone bought All off it so unfairly we could not have the full experience of the new restaurant menu. We were celebrating a lot our wedding anniversary, going there in memory of my brother that loved the place, and my birthday and I was sad that we could not get a good dessert. I have to say that we heard the owner talking to a few people and had good conversations with them and even learned about the history which was nice. Like I said unfortunately I did not have a good experience but try it, it may be different for you and good luck to the restaurant revamp.

Freddy’s has been my family’s go-to restaurant for every special occasion for over 50 years. I love the retro atmosphere. The bar is just shy of 100 years old and is beautiful! The food is always fabulous and the price is great for all that you get. The starter is hot, crusty bread. I always choose salad because the garlic dressing is delicious and I’ve never found it anywhere else. I always choose the baked potato with my entree because the outside is crusty with salt and pepper. I cannot say enough about the entrees. I’ve had lake perch, steak and lobster, and prime rib and they have always been so delicious. The owners, Jim and Tammy, always stop by our table to chat. The gin martini was top notch! Freddy’s is the epitome of a true steakhouse, and not the mediocre steak chains I’ve been to and never gone back. Try this place…you won’t regret it!

This was our first time back in a while wanting to test out Freddy’s again since the update after the TV show. When we got there we were seated right away. Our waitress was very nice. I started to order the wedge salad for us to split but they were apparently out so that wasn’t a great start. This is also 6:30 on a Friday. We decided to stick with the salads with dinner. My girlfriend ordered the fried lake perch. I tried to order the chicken piccata but they were out of that too. So I asked for a few more minutes before I ordered. The waitress then came back and said yes we do have chicken piccata. So I ordered that. We got our house salads which were comprised of some iceberg lettuce that didn’t seem quite as fresh as it should be. The savior was the blue cheese dressing which was excellent. Lots of big chunks of blue cheese. The dressing made up for the lackluster salad. The bread they served with the flavored butter was excellent. My girlfriend’s fried lake perch was great and the homemade tartar sauce was also excellent. We both loved it. My chicken piccata tasted great with the mushroom cream sauce but the portion size was ludacrisly small (1 piece around 4-6 oz) and the chicken was actually a bit tough. It was overcooked significantly and actually a bit chewy. Again the sauce was great and helped to make up for it but the size was very small and the chicken was tough. The service was also quite slow. The restaurant was only half full on a Friday and it took a very long time to get our meals. Our waitress was great. It wasn’t her. Food was taking forever and and she kept updating us. The kitchen was just super slow and it wasn’t busy at all.
I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars but there wasn’t enough good stuff to justify 4.

Well we went to try out the new menu! Ups and downs I’d have to say. French onion soup was good but $12, oyster Rockefeller was just ok, crab cake was the best appetizer not a lot of filler, swordfish I didn’t like at all, ribeye was cooked perfectly and had great flavor! Kat is an amazing server/bartender!!! They got rid of a lot of their items they were know for like the burgers, chopped steak, chicken piccata, all the fish options and pastas. The old fashion drinks are really good! Oh yeah and the cheesecake was delicious

My husband and I just finished dinner here and had an amazing experience. First off we had the best server Cat, very attentive and friendly. She helped us with all of our questions and had some great suggestions. We started off with the buffalo wings, and their blue cheese dip was one of the best I’ve had. My husband had the sautee perch and garlic mashed potatoes and it was fresh and so flavorful. I ordered the chicken picatta and the twice baked potato and it was also flavorful. Portion sizes are plentiful and we had the Southwest soup that I would definitely recommend. I ordered a Moscow mule and it was made to perfection. I would definitely recommend and will be returning very soon!

Stopped in on a Sunday evening with a party of six; the service was friendly and attentive.

The food was a mixed bag.

Lake perch was rated 10/10, the favorite item from the table.

Steak sandwich came out rarer than ordered doneness; it was sent back and was enjoyed when cooked to his liking.

Grilled swordfish was advertised on the menu as coming with sweet onions and peppers, but was served on a pile of caramelized onions with no peppers. It was fine but needed some additional seasoning and a sauce to tie the dish together.

The remaining dishes ordered were sautéed shrimp, ribs, and chicken piccata, which all had good flavor.

However, the biggest detractor from the meal was that ALL of the dishes, except the perch, were lukewarm. We each could have, and probably should have sent them back to the kitchen, but you get worried about microwave reheating etc. I’m not sure what caused this issue but the temperature was such that the food had to be sitting for a while before it ever made it to the table. Not even hot for the first bite with the exception of the lake perch.
