I travel a lot for work so I’ve tried many new places. When I went here, I was hesitant, because it took me to a gas station and at first I didn’t see their signs. But don’t let that deter you. Honestly I’m glad I went here, I got regular tacos and they were *chefs kiss*. Red salsa is actually hot and I appreciate that. It’s not a sit down place obviously but it’s clean and food was ready in a few minutes. They were really friendly and tacos were 3 bucks good deal. I’ll be back if I’m passing through again. Small businesses like this is where it’s at

I went to Freddy’s to try their Tacos and breakfast burritos. Traveling from Texas to CA you can definitely see a difference between the two states when it comes to Mexican food. It’s hard to find anything else but Tex-Mex in Texas so I was glad to have some real Mexican food. Ladies are wonderful and super quick. It’s a grab and go kinda shop. Located inside a gas station but if you stop to grab something in this location you won’t regret it! You can also ask for hand made tortillas for your tacos which is a huge game changer! Provecho!

Two years ago, my husband and I was travelling, hungry and needing gas, at random got off at?? exit. I asked him ” whats first … gas or food??” …. Mind you there was a well known breakfast establishment across from the Chevron gas station. “Gas first” he says. Best decision ever!! When I walked in the gas station to pay for the gas, this amazing aroma slapped me in the face!! Authentic real Mexican food !!! I called in my husband.. Street tacos for him, street tacos and a bean and cheese burrito for me. Out of this world!!! I have tried many street tacos sciences then and nothing compares!!!
Now we travel Interstate
99 several times a year, always looking out for THAT Chevron, never able to find it. Always wanting another bite…
September 2023 Got my mother in laws dog travelling to Oregon from Arizona. She needs to pee… and there it is!!! My Chevron!!! I’m excited!!
I have to admit the food wasn’t as good this time as it was the first time!! My bean and cheese burrito was cold… so cold I had to go back inside and use the microwave to warm it up. I was disappointed however it still was very yummy!! I put it in my contacts, so next time I will include it it my google maps stop.
I highly recommend this stop!!

Food was phenomenal! The carne asada fries had more meat than fries and the tacos were bomb! Lots of meat and delicious salsa with a kick. Staff was friendly and said they will be opening up a full location with seating soon. Would definitely go again.

The food is great. It’s hidden in the corner at the gas station, but it’s well worth the drive if you’re in Atwater. I overlooked going in several times just because where it is. But let me tell you, I got the breakfast burrito, and it was great. I will be back. There is nowhere to really sit. But if you need good take home meal. You can’t go wrong. Staff is really friendly as well.

The food has good flavor, but his prices have increased quite a bit. Asada burrito is $13, but the disappointing part was that it has too much rice, some beans with very little meat.
Breakfast burritos are still good prices at about $8 and good size.

Got a burrito Pastor, I wal like 2-3lbs. Perfect blend of meat, bean, and Chile. Enjoying it greatly. Yes its spicy but it’s just at that threshold of almost needing a drink but not totally necessary. Great meal. Definitely one burrito does the job.
