Wonderful! The service was so kind and helpful. The fish was THE BEST! I loved the fried cod. Also, a dedicated gluten free fryer! Also, the gf clam chowder was amazing! We will be back! I tried to get pictures before my boys snatched some fish but I was a little too slow. So good!

A taste for fish led us here. We’ve been here before. It’s good. I had the medium cod fish & chips. It comes with 3 pieces of fish, fries and coleslaw. The fries could’ve been a bit more crispy. The coleslaw always needs more dressing in it. The fish was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The tartar sauce was just right, piquant as it should be.
She had the large Caesar salad and steamer clams from the appetizer menu. She enjoyed the Caesar salad. The clams were done perfect and she ate them all including the sauce left in the bowl.
I had lemonade and she had the Citrus Mistress beer. Both good.

We found this resturant from Google Mapsduring our trip to Astoria so stopby and give it a try as it had a good reviews. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy. There are plenty of parking around. The interior is nicely decorated, and the awards displayed on the wall gave a promising first impression.
Service started off well with drinks brought out right away, but we waited about 15 minutes before placing our order, and the food took another 25 minutes to come out. I noticed just a chef and 1-2 servers, so be prepare for some delay. We ordered the halibut and chips, along with a clam dish in red sauce.
The halibut was decent, though not as fresh as what we’ve had in Long Beach. The fries weren’t fresh. The clams were small, and the red sauce—made with celery, tomatoes, and julienned carrots—was an unusual combination to me. The overall flavor was just okay for me.

Passing through the area and stopped at this great little restaurant. I had tuna albacore melt and was superb! Good sized portions too! My wife had blackened halibut sandwich and was generous portion as well! We will stop here again if ever passing back through Kelso WA in the future.

You’d think their halibut would be amazing because of the restaurant name, but it was a great disappointment. It tasted like old grease. I’m glad we shared the small basket! The fries were over-salted and the chowder was flavorless and watery. It’s unfortunate because the restaurant itself is cute and the service is friendly.

Best clam chowder. Drive out of your way for some excellent halibut fish and chips. Firm fish. Not soft and greasy. The chips aren’t great but oh well. The slaw is good. Bring your friends. The tables might be a bit sticky and old. That’s ok. It’s worth it.

We stopped by here for a seafood meal on the drive from Portland to Bellevue and the food was great! We highly enjoyed the halibut fish (basket); fresh and nicely seasoned, same with the vegetables. My husband had the halibut burger and my son had a delicious plate of fettuccine with salmon. The clam chowder was great, too! We were glad we stopped by!

This was the worst meal I have ever picked at in a restaurant. First time visiting this restaurant and I should have paid attention to my first impressions. There were NO other diners – at dinner time. The place was permeated with a smell of old grease.
I ordered the tuna albacore melt sandwich. The sandwich filling was VERY fishy in smell and taste. Plus I thought a ‘melt’ would mean cheese inside but there seemed to be none. I suppose they could have mixed some in the filling or sprinkled a little in. Couldn’t see or taste it. The bread was brushed with oil then grilled but not lightly brushed – soaked in oil. It all was so unpalatable that I only nibbled at the middle of one of the halves. I concentrated on the fries. The fries were delicious!
I didn’t ask my friend what she thought of her meal but I noticed that she pulled the entire breaded coatings off of her scallops before eating. She ordered hot tea and I had water. Neither of us were offered refills or asked if we needed anything or asked if everything was good. I imagine everyone knew it was not good.

Have been really wanting to try this place as we’d like to find some good places to eat in Longview. So far no bueno. Super weird vibe when we entered. Employee was unfriendly and bad vibes. He didn’t warm up throughout the meal either. Floors so slick about fell three times walking to the table. Fish and chips were super heavy and laden with grease. I pulled off most of the breading so I could eat it. Clam chowder was watery. I prefer Mo’s. Swing and a miss for this place. Not to mention priced low were insane. Most of the dishes were over $40 and the place is divey for sure.

My wife and I were here on 10/18/25 for the first time. The food was amazing, I got the medium halibut with potato salad, my wife got the crab and brie Mac and cheese. The halibut was not greasy and it was fried perfectly. Her Mac and cheese had a healthy helping of crab throughout. We both got the chowder which was just as good as the rest of it. The service was great, not over the top but we also didnt feel neglected. This will absolutely be one of our spots to stop at when we’re in town.
