I really want to give this location a higher rating because the **service and food were excellent**, but the **lack of cleanliness was extremely concerning**.
My very first impression walking in was that the restaurant looked **dirty and neglected**. The windows appeared like they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time, and there was **heavy dust everywhere**—on surfaces, monitors, and even around the ordering area. The trash cans had **food residue on the outside**, which stood out even more because they’re stainless steel and should be easy to keep clean.
We did find a clean table fairly quickly, which honestly surprised me given the overall condition of the store. What bothered me most was seeing **stacks of cleaning rags stuffed into the milkshake mixer area**, which is extremely unsanitary and feels like a **health code violation**. The floors around the food prep stations—both the custard area and the grill line—were visibly dirty, and it honestly looked like the restaurant may not be properly wiped down at night.
Now, on the positive side:
The **service was wonderful**. We were greeted immediately, our food came out **very fast**, and everything was **hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly**. The shoestring fries were great, the grease tasted clean, and my chicken sandwich was excellent. We also had the gummy dirt custard (not sure of the exact name), and it was delicious. My friend got a steakburger and loved it as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly working hard.
This place **has five-star potential**. The food and service are absolutely there. The cleanliness just needs to match the same level of effort. If management put more focus on maintaining the store, this would easily be a top-tier fast-food spot.
I hope this is taken as constructive feedback, because I’d truly love to come back and give this location a higher rating in the future.

UPDATE: The gnats are big problem here! On our second visit we sat near the mid restaurant and were still distributed with gnats flying near our food. Please have Orkin do a routine service, especially as the weather begins to warm up.
food is delicious. cashiers had great service and the young lady who was cleaning booths was very sweet. recommend the bacon grilled cheese loved the area where you’re able to choose all your condiments!
my only complaints: when I approached the area where you’d collect your food, the employees just stared. i had needed to ask for togo box after finishing what I could. that is frustrating when you feel like a bother as the customer. I also wouldn’t sit in seats near the bathrooms. the nearby trash can has a ton a gnats flying within and around it ugh ! some made their way to our table. very gross

I am happy to share that I had a wonderful visit to Freddy’s. The burger I ordered was truly delicious and tasted very fresh. Everything was prepared perfectly. I didn’t expect the thin fries and patties but the food was great. I was very impressed with how fast and friendly the service was, even during a busy time. This quick service made my lunch enjoyable and easy. Thank you for the great experience. And to make things EVEN better, I had a frozen vanilla sundae and the taste was IMMACULATE!!! Would recommend!!

Im sorry im disabled i had physical therapy right before I came to your drive thru because i was hungry. As long as you put dum on all the reciepts my lawyer may not have a problem. This was such a cool little find! I was in town for a dr appt and needed a burger. I googled this place and was so glad I did!! Their burgers are huge, and are made like smash burgers. They are SO GOOD! Not to mention, their custard! Check them out!! 10/5 RATING!!

I just have to say the staff at the Greensboro store ESPECIALLY SABRINA go over and beyond for their customers. Sabrina met my family at the register and greeted us with her huge smile and made our experience wonderful. I ordered the wrong ice cream and she personally made it right! She did not have to but her level of care for her customer showed from the moment we hit the door! I personally get tired of rude order takers at other restaurants and will skip those from now on just to be treated right! Way to go SABRINA keep up the good work! You will go far in life young lady!

Freddy’s always serves up some great burgers, fries and ice cream. However the people working at this location are totally opposite. I dont get how the reviews here mention the friendly staff when in my opinion I didn’t see any friendliness in whoever assisted me. The past 4 times I came here I’ve had an issue with an employee every time. An example, the cashier up front didn’t ask “how can I help you” or “may I take your order” and just starred leaving me confused since I didn’t know if she was ready. Like come on a little common courtesy goes a long way it shouldn’t be a guessing game. Smh. One time in the drive thru i was waiting for just 3 desserts and they took forever for them to hand em to me and they never gave any apology. Again you can never go wrong with the food itself, but if i were to change one thing here, it would be the service just so it doesn’t feel awkward and you feel valued. All I’m saying is just be friendly if you ever want me to come back. Thank you.

Dang. This food was so good; it’s the perfect fries/burger/shake fix! Dmarion was so patient and friendly while I ordered and when I told him we hadn’t tried this place before he gave us three flavors of fry sauce to try (jalapeño and smoky were the winners).

My first time going and OH MY GOD! It was amazing! I had a burger, fries, and custard. Everything was perfect… Not even a burnt fry. Their sauces were delicious, too. I’ll definitely be back! Don’t go without trying the onion rings… Best onion rings I’ve ever had
