Wow! I’m writing this review and eating at the same, I couldn’t wait to tell y’all how good it is here!! I never eat gizzards anywhere just from Florida where I grew up and that was so long time ago. These are best best of the best!! Seasoning and crunchy on point!! My first time here btw. I can’t wait to try the chicken& tenders. The Kool aid drink so gooOod too!!! Can’t stop drinking it!! I highly recommend this place!!

My husband and I are eating lunch at Freckles Chicken today. Hubby met the owner, Brandon. We got the 4 piece with fries. It was hot delicious, crunchy and ever so tasty. Just like I like it. Black owned. Clean, friendly service. Check him out. He did not disappoint. Great seasoned chicken.

Today after church, I traveled from Richardson to Mesquite to taste what I heard was the best chicken in Dallas—and it did not disappoint!
I saw great reviews about this place on TikTok, and I’m so glad I decided to come. The gentleman who attended to me (I believe he may have been the manager, though I wasn’t sure at the time) was incredibly kind, friendly, and patient. He truly appreciated that I traveled to try their chicken, which meant so much.
Even the other customers were helping me choose the best meal for me and my son—that’s how welcoming the atmosphere was! The restaurant was clean, warm, and inviting. Our food was prepared fresh in about 10 minutes, and it was absolutely delicious.

My mama was pissed because this chicken is so good I drove over to her house just to slap her. Alright, in all seriousness, this is some good fried chicken. You’re not gonna find this at those dime a dozen fast food chicken joints that keep the same wing and breast on the rack for 6 hours until you drive up and still have to wait to be served. This chicken is well worth the wait and cooked fresh. The seasoning was great and we loved all the garnishes. I thought it was well worth the money we paid and wasn’t upset about anything. I highly recommend giving this place a shot, but please don’t tell y’all’s mamas I recommend it!

One of the best fried chicken my husband and I have had thus far. It is made fresh to order, my husband ordered the 3pc dark and I ordered the chicken sandwich. Both orders came with fries, the seasoning on the chicken and fries makes a big difference. It was so good! The owner gave us some sweet tea (amazing) and kool-aid on the house since we decided to eat there. Thank you sir!

Food is amazing!!! Crispy, fresh, and seasoned. Decent customer service as well. 3 stars for lack of clarity in pricing. The tax is built into the charges but I noticed an additional $2 “tax” charge on my receipt. Only after I came to the reviews did I see where someone else had the same complaint and the owner explained in response. A sign at the register notifying of a credit/debit surcharge would be nice for clarity. Other than that I loved the food and the Freckles juice! No pics of the food, I was hungry. Lol

I dropped by for some fried chicken and became a forever customer! I ordered a 3pc dark with fries. It also came with pickles, peppers and bread all for about $10. I had to wait for a few but by the smell, I knew it would be worth the wait! Got my order and since I was far from home, I ate in the car as the spot is a pick up only location. At first bite, I knew I would return. The chicken and fries were hot, fresh, and well seasoned. The service was also awesome! Great vibes, I will for sure return! Check out this gem in Mesquite!

This is the first time I came to this place. I was excited because I was told it was good. I decided to get my money back because they kept telling me it was coming. It never came but other people who came in with me and ordered for they food and left. Waiting 1hr and 15 minutes for my food was unexceptionable. I know they have call ins but I’ve never in my life had to wait an hour for chicken and tenders (I also left a tip smh)
