The Best Restaurant in Paris. Phillipe is the host to rival all others. He correctly recognised the name and number on the booking as Irish and suitably decorated our table with a bottle of Irish Gin and Guinness. He sat down with us and explained the best way to order from the Menu; sharing plates. Every dish was perfect, saffron risotto, veal cutlets, steak tartare and more. He reccomended the perfect wine that suited the dish, and overall made our dining experience as comfortable as possible. After our amazing dinner, we asked for an aperitif recommendation, phillipe instead gave us tastes of 6 different local and foreign aperitifs to judge. They were all exceptional. We also saw him sit down with each other table in turn to chat and improve the whole atmosphere and each guests individual dining experience. He is a lovely man and exceptionally talented host. I would despair any trip to Paris that didn’t include Franquette.

A really cool bistro gastro. The lunch menu is a bargain for the quality (and quantity). I had a fabulous seafood paella. The ambiance is aesthetic, warm, vachement sympa. Service impeccable. Cannot recommend too highly!

Don’t be fooled by this unadorned facade, the place is run by a warm and inviting owner. The food was MAGNIFICENT and atmosphere jovial. We were thrilled the concierge sent us here for a memorable French meal. Cheese plate, Tomato dish and beef tartar were exquisite.

An absolute gem. We had some of the most delicious food and good wine, every dish felt thoughtful and beautifully executed. Philippe’s warm welcome made us feel at home right away. From the moment you step foot into Franquette you’re greeted with a smile and warmth. Philippe invites you into his own personal dining room, hosting you and his other guests for the evening.
We dined here tonight during our 6 day stay in Paris based on a recommendation of a friend who had also been here, and we’re grateful we did. It has been one of our favourite meals in Paris so far.
We shared four plates ranging from beef, veg such as cauliflower and aubergine, and some octopus. Each dish was pleasantly prepared not only treating our taste buds but also presented beautifully. Our dishes had a mix of middle eastern flavours using parsley, pomegranate, chickpeas, and dukkah, and some with Asian flavours, each dish more flavoursome than the next. It is evident that Franquette uses only quality produce.
The wines we had perfectly complemented each dish.
Unfortunately we enjoyed the mains too much that we didn’t leave room for dessert, but something to look forward to on our next visit.
The ambiance is warm and romantic; a collection of Philippe’s personal items scattered around the room and on shelves as high as the ceiling – capturing and entertaining the eyes of the curious, there is so much to see.
Thank you for welcoming us into your dining room tonight, Philippe. You’ve given my mother and I an experience to talk to our friends about for years to come.

Small and Cozy place, feels like you have come to a family home. Philippe who runs the restaurant is such a gracious and welcoming host. The atmosphere is one where you meetup with close friends or have a relaxed time with your partner. The food is amazing, we had the tuna, the octopus and the ravioli and we had them all till the last drop of sauce it was so delicious. The wine pairings were also very nice, one of us had the orange wine which was very special. Prices were very reasonable for overall experience. Will visit again when next in Paris.

Amazing place, the ambience is really nice, pretty cozy with an old-ish style. Attention is great, the owner knows how to manage time in an amazing way to engage with clients as well as he serves everybody. Dishes were out my expectations, complex, with nice textures and flavour combinations. The wine menu was ment to be the star but everything was at the same level of excellence.
