We tried out Franny’s last night. Estie was our server and she was just amazing. I had two tasty oysters to start. The bread was fantastic. At our table we had the fish and chips, which frankly is some of the best in the city. Also ordered was the pan fried flounder. The fish was excellent though it comes with lump crab on top. I found the crab overpowered the fish and if I had it again I would just have the fish. Also ordered was a butter lettuce salad with an onion vinaigrette. Honestly for something so simple it was one of the favorites of the evening.

They have the best fish and chips in Louisville! I probably haven’t tried every fish and chips in town, but I’ve definitely had the top contenders and this one is the best.

While I would like to give you a review on the fish and chips, unfortunately I cannot. This was my first visit to Franny’s Seafood restaurant and my first time being denied a meal due to my shellfish allergies (which I noted on my reservation) I can respect the fact that the restaurant appears to care about the well-being of the customer. However I wish that I was contacted ahead of time to make other arrangements. Instead I was told by my server that the fish and shrimp are fried in the same grease so the chef suggested I have something from the grill like a hamburger to avoid cross contamination. She wanted to know if I had an epi-pen. I said yes and explained that when you have food allergies it is recommended that you keep a epi-pen on you at all times. That is why you see a picture of a cheeseburger and fries instead of fish at a seafood restaurant. To avoid embarrassment by walking out of the restaurant after being seated I decided to stay. What can you say about a cheeseburger and fries? They were good. I couldn’t get the fish that I wanted so I tried a dessert. The “Key Lime Creme Brulee” made up for my missing fish, it was delicious If you have any suggestions, I am still looking for a good fried fish meal Thanks!

Oysters were perfectly briny, salmon succotash was the best salmon dish I’ve ever had. Although I had no room for key lime crème brûlée it was so good, I ate it all. Service was friendly, efficient, & knowledgeable. Ambiance is classy without pretentiousness. Love supporting a locally owned restaurant owned by a local woman.

I’d been waiting to try this new seafood spot in Schnitzelburg. It feels “East Coast” with clean and fresh, icy oysters and elevated cocktails. I had the Cucumber Gimlets and a half-dozen Wellfleets with pickled onion ice. So happy! Friends joined and we made room around a corner banquette. The Fried Mozzarella and Fish and Chips just 10/10. Loved the staff vibes while they got into the groove of their new spot. I’m coming back for the $5 Martini Happy Hour

Great service with a smile. Food made with love and oyster from love bay so good I had 2 dozen. A must visit only open 9 weeks is what the owner said and I hope around a very long time. Thanks for your adventure in undertaking this new concept on goss Ave in Louisville Kentucky. Has enough space for large groups. Alie was amazing.

Every plate was thoughtful and delicious; a crafted, well thought out cohesive menu that transports you from app to entre. The highlight of the food outside of being taken on a complimentary walk thats balanced from one plate to the next is that the protein is fresh. Caught two days ago fresh. Chef Spencer McMillan’s magnum opus. You can taste that his experience & travels manifested a love for you to experience. BE AMAZED BY THE SLUSHIE PICKLED ONION GRANITA!
