Just paid $6.37 for a small chow mein. They’ve increased the prices and reduce the size of the containers, again. I really tried to support them during COVID when no one else was going but now like everything in Hayward it’s just too expensive. I have to find a new off-campus option.

The food is cooked and served buffet style like some of the restaurants in Oakland Chinatown. I had the mushroom chicken, fried fish and shrimp and vegetables with steamed rice. The food was tasty but believe use msg . I was very thirsty afterwards. The lady server is ready to take order as soon as you walk in which is typical service for buffet style chinese food . It’s an occasional treat.

I came here for the good reviews and was not left disappointed. I ordered a prawns and string beans lunch special and had a choice for white rice, fried rice, or chow mein and I picked chow mein and it also came with a soup and egg roll and all for less than $14. The food was freshly made and was not overly greasy. The noodles were chewy delicious. I will come here again for take-out!

Fist time visiting FRANNIE EXPRESS. Good Chinese fast food at reasonable prices. Definitely will return. Ordered the sweet and sour pork with fried fish and half fried rice, half chow mein. Nice staff.
