Stopped by on our way home from Evansville with a random pull off from Google maps. I would describe as a hole in the wall Diner. Breakfast is served all day. I ordered the gyro special and hubs got the Philly cheesesteak both with fries. The fries were perfectly cooked. My husband’s Philly veggies were deliciously cooked. My gyro was a tortilla wrap instead of flatbread but still yummy and large. The tzitaki sauce was great. The waitress was attentive. Overall I would say don’t judge a book by it’s cover.

My friend and I stopped at Franks for lunch. She ordered a daily special, Popeye omelet. I ordered a burger with bacon and fries. Both meals were tasty. The omelet was plate sized. It was usually served with hash browns. My friend asked to substitute a pancake and salsa.. My burger was large with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The fries were crispy and delicious. The servers were very attentive. The prices were fair, plenty of parking, and the inside had been slightly improved since the last owner. We will go again.

A wonderful new local diner. Great food for a great price. My husband was impressed by the sausage, bacon and ham slice. They were a good quality, not the typical breakfast meat you get at most places. The servings are pretty large. The service is friendly and down to earth. I wish they stayed open later.

Food was really good, chicken on the sandwich was a little tough, overcooked. Nice waitress great service. The place needs a little work and need to get all the flies out and make sure the doors close all the way. Good people but not sure if I’d go back. Give them a try and decide for yourself

Visiting from out of town, I asked a local law enforcement Sergeant if he could recommend a restaurant that serves close to home cooked meals. This was the first place recommended! I got here 30 minutes before closing time. Menu selections were great! Coffee was good and hot, the beef tips (homemade with onions, mushrooms and lots of gravy) with noodles, AND mashed potatoes were even hotter! Delicious! My server, Ms. Sally was very kind and attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Cozy small-town diner with pleasant waitstaff, a standard yet full menu, and solid execution. The food was all good.

I really wanted my experience to be better. I know it’s always a challenge with new restaurants. With that being said, my (to go) order was wrong. I asked for my Reuben to have the sauerkraut and thousand island on the side. the only thing that was on the side was the Thousand Island dressing. I was told that the $10 version of mozzarella sticks was larger than the 5.99 version.. $10 version had six, and the $5 version had four. What I received was a standard size mozzarella stick, so essentially, I paid $4 more for two more mozzarella sticks, so that was disappointing. I also ordered a cheeseburger; on the menu it says it comes with lettuce tomatoes and onions, what I received was a bun with a patty and a slice of melted cheese along with seven or eight slices of pickle on the side. I opted for the French onion soup instead of the fries. I also ordered a kids’ meal of two chicken tenders and fries along with an additional side of fries that I paid for and did not receive. Now by no means was I expecting gourmet food but it was a standard craft Services Burger with no seasoning dry and overcooked, the french fries were standard preseason restaurant french fries with a taste that you would expect. The Reuben was decent but did not enjoy it as much as I would like because the sauerkraut that I asked to have on the side was on the sandwich, the French onion soup was also decent and I didn’t bother to ask my daughter how the chicken tenders taste but they look like Standard Restaurant tenders.. oh, and for some odd reason, there was a small grilled “hot”pepper in the package with the mozzarella sticks. I’m not sure that was an accident, but it was kind of weird. The restaurant does serve breakfast. I will give them one more chance and try the breakfast menu before I decide never to go back again.

Friendly service and breakfast food was ok. Eggs done right, big, fluffy pancakes, hash browns crispy, biscuit finished on flat grill.

Misses are the syrup is watery and tasteless, sausage gravy is not made from scratch/watery/gray; and country fried steak breading not done nor rested properly as the breading separated from the patty.

Inside needs TLC: just general fixing up to be attractive, Santa still up on counter, president day specials still posted, beer sign poorly written. For me, the appearance says how much they also care about the quality of food. For comparable prices elsewhere with an appearance that the place is cared for, I won’t be back. While supporting mom and pop’s is my goal, they need to show the owner & staff cares.

I’ve come to Frank’s a few different times with my family and then later with some friends, and they have never disappointed! The food is AMAZING and it’s a really great breakfast joint! I have not tried their lunch/dinner yet, but the breakfast is superb. Staff are super friendly and attentive to needs of customers. Highly recommend Frank’s for anyone looking for a laidback restaurant to enjoy!
