We’ve eaten a couple times at Frank’s, but last night tried Frank’s Outback for my wife’s birthday. Loved it! The atmosphere was wonderful and more informal than Frank’s, and a different menu (that includes pizza), and two bars.
We were seated next to the wood burning fireplace and it was toasty.
Our server, Tom, was excellent. He was attentive and ensured my wife’s food allergy was accommodated
My wife had the beef short ribs, and I had the crab cakes – both delicious.
Can’t wait to go back!

This place is huge! Our waiter JR was superb, great fun. We dined indoors and it was fine (I would recommend dining out). The food was OK. I was expecting better. The duck breast was way too rare and the fat was not fully rendered. The conch fritters were nice as was the tuna Poke. Most of our dishes were simply over seasoned. Nonetheless, we had a great night.

Based on recommendations from several locals (including one in the restaurant business) I stopped in here to try it out. I arrived during the suppertime rush so the parking lot and inside was very busy. The screened in patio deck still had plenty of available seats. I chose a bar seat so I was brought in immediately. Dined on the conch fritters (excellent), 21 oz Cowboy steak (prepared to perfection) with mushrooms, and a decent salad. My server was Alex who did a fantastic job throughout the meal process. While at the bar I was close enough to watch my steak being prepared. The chef was good at what he was doing. This is a high end price restaurant but it was worth it for my value. As mentioned due to popularity parking on the gravel lot can be quite a challenge so be prepared. Turn in off the highway is quick so be ready for that also. Worth a repeat visit next time I’m in the Myrtle Beach area,

We have visited this place several times, and I would like to say that the food, atmosphere, drinks, and service are all of a very high standard.
I recommend it to all my friends.
I personally return for special occasions. Even though it is quite far for me to get there, I always come back.
Thank you for an incredible experience.

We celebrated a birthday and an Anniversary at Frank’s Outback. Everything about the evening was perfect. Our server Chloe was excellent. I am gluten free due to an allergy. They have a dedicated menu with lots of options and our server was knowledgeable about the gluten free items. We will be back again.

Frank’s is a Pawleys Island staple. Whenever we’re out as a family, we always grab a bottle of wine. This time we tried the Sip Savvy app to find a gem on the menu. It’s great because it picks wines for you based on your taste, budget, and top ratings. We found a great bottle of cab – Maxville, “The High Valley”. At $54/bottle, this bottle was at MSRP, and completely worth it for the big bold Napa cab flavor. Felt like a great deal to us, so good we ordered 2!
The wine list at Frank’s is big enough that you’ll always find a gem at every price point and palette.
We started with a dozen oysters and the dill pickle biscuits. Biscuits were bite-sized, but delicious!
For dinner, I got the salmon with fingerling potatoes. Great dish that I’ll order again. My husband got the short rib – he loved it! Other orders were the veggie pizza and the shrimp and grits.
We like to sit outside at Frank’s Outback. They always have heaters on, so it’s cozy back there. Very spacious, too!
For my father in law’s birthday, they sent out a cobbler with a fun candle.
Lots of celebrations all around! Every time we go to Frank’s we love the memories we build there.

From oysters to steak and lamb chops everything was on point. Def one of the best steaks
Upscale but casual enough. Menu prices are on the upper side. Waiters were very attentive. Highly recommended

A little loud on a busy night (inside). The service was excellent. Everyone is very attentive. Enjoyed the grilled grouper over grits. Try the deviled egg appetizer. Delicious. Be prepared to open your wallet.

Great restaurant that had a fun and intimate atmosphere with delicious food! We ordered bread (which is complimentary but you have to ask for it) and deep fried deviled eggs for appetizers. The deviled eggs are delicious and had a little potato in it too with the crispy pieces of prosciutto. Then the braised short rib was really delicious! The mashed potatoes were creamy and the meat melted in your mouth with a slight crunch from the French fried onions. We all really enjoyed all our meals but one of the steaks came out a bit under done. Still really well seasoned though. Then, we got several desserts! The caramel cake is wonderful but it is quite sweet! The key lime cheesecake is also really delicious as well as the cobbler! Overall, a really good meal and great desserts!
The service was fairly good. The waitress came by several times but our drinks weren’t filled out as much as we wanted. However, the waitress did mess up our bills when we tried to get them split up between us.
The atmosphere was awesome! It had fun twinkly lights and some nice fans since it was hotter outside and the restaurant is outside but it’s covered so if it’s raining, you will still be okay. There were live plants throughout which was nice as well.

WOW!!! We have said we’ve wanted to dine here for the longest time. Ultimately decided to have an overnight stay in Pawley’s Island and do it right. This establishment is magnificent. We dined inside and our server was Louis. He was knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive without being intrusive. We started with G.O.O.P. the roasted head of garlic, olives and capers in EVOO. Cocktails were generous. Our entrees were prepared perfectly and the mixed berry cobbler was made in-house. 100% Chef’s Kiss!
