A classic, cash only American dining experience with a dangerously good Roast Beef sandwich.
Seriously, I forgot to take a picture after my first bite and was already halfway thru the meal before I came to my senses so I could document this gift to my stomach.
Atmosphere is lively and comforting in its familiarity. Tile floors, wooden counters, black bar stool seating. The moderate buzz of conversation from nearby patrons and the hum of a busy kitchen make you feel like you know this place already, even if you’ve never been.
Meal selections are reasonably priced, staff are attentive and friendly. Food is of course amazing, two thumbs up from myself and my companions that joined me for lunch.
Extra bonus points to the pictures of ‘The Bear’ star Jeremy Allen White with the staff.

I had the BEST Italian hero during the first beach day of this season. Everyone who worked here was awesome. They gave great recs for the Jersey shore area. I loved Franks and will be back ASAP

A staple at the shore. Been eating here for decades. It hasn’t changed a bit. I hope it survives another 40 years. The best pork roll egg n cheese around. The service is so friendly and the food is great. Their gravy is delicious so the disco fries are a must.

They said homemade turkey and they were not messing around – the turkey sammy was elite. My husband got the #4 Italian and he enjoyed it too. Bread & pickle are delicious.
I called my order in and she said “45 minutes wait for the grill/griddle and 30 for a cold sandwich”. In case you are calling for pick up – could be busy on a Sunday.
No good chips and the paper ripped are my only complaints.
Def going to be my go-to for a sandwich.

Started my 2024 diner travels with a visit to Frank’s. So glad I did. 100% legit Jersey diner. Breakfast was in front of me within minutes, great portions, good value. Everything cooked properly, especially the bacon. Home fries done extra crispy at my request, perfectly toasted English muffin. Coffee was great, though I’m not a coffee guy. Amazing friendly service, awesome vibe, just … everything you need in a Jersey diner … and nothing you don’t. Recommended.

First time in here, and was blown away. The vibes in this place were great and the food was even better. The Italian Hero may have been the best sandwhich I have ever had. Definitely recommend stopping here for the atmosphere and food.

It’s my first time trying Frank’s and they did not disappoint. Frank’s met all of my expectations when I wanted a classic deli sandwich. I got the pastrami Reuben and my wife got the tuna melt. Both sandwiches were delicious and a good portion size. Their coleslaw is great! I always say you can tell if a deli/diner is good if their coleslaw is tasty. The staff are really nice too.

Fabulous old-style diner in Asbury Park, famously featured in Anthony Bourdain’s New Jersey episode of Parts Unknown. The vanilla milkshakes were awesome. Don’t miss their famous sub sandwiches. Super friendly and efficient service.

We ordered the veggie omlet and french toasts both were delicious, good portion size. Very friendly diner staff, the server gave us a complimentary jelly donut which was warm, fresh, and delicious! Good place to eat in the area.
