We ordered for the 1st time here last sunday and it was amazing! Juicy crunchy and delicious. Today tho, the wings were dry and hard like they had been fried hours ago and then say around and then fried again and tossed in sauce. Sunday it was worth the 37 dollars I paid for 2 orders of 10 wings. Today not whatsoever
I guess u have to order them on a busy day that things dont sit around for hours prior to being ordered. Sunday i would have given them 5 starts all around. NOT today. The girl at the register was really nice so there’s no issue with service, just the wings being so dry and hard. Tried ro take some photos to show how dried out they were. Not a single one was close to being fresh.

I ordered two 10 piece chicken to go and it was still crunchy after I got home (hour and thirty minute drive) and it tasted so good. the fried zucchini with spicy mayo was also delicious! I would say eating any kind of fried food is best as soon as you get it, but this place never disappoints!

It was pretty unremarkable for us,but we could return one day. Our chicken was overcooked and tasted too hard. Korean chicken at Chicken Koop tasted more tender, but their prices are high. My bimbimbap was ok. I don’t think my husband was fond of the katsui chicken.

Why is there a tip option presented on card reader? Absolutely no service was rendered aside from ordering at the counter and picking up my food, all while standing. (This practice needs to be left in 2025.) The high menu prices should be enough to provide a fair wage to your employees. The young female cashier was polite.

The food itself was good but not exceptional.

The food I have eaten here so far was delicious. My only complaint is they serve white pickled radish instead of yellow, but that’s a personal preference. I had the tteokbokki, which was delicious and a very generous portion, with lots of fish cakes and melted cheese. It was made to order so the wait was a little long but that’s okay for fresh hot food! The fried seaweed wrapped noodles on top were sooo good drenched in the sauce. I also got the boneless wings, in the K-BBQ sauce, and they were the second best i’ve ever had, only rivaled by the boneless wings at the Hard Rock Cafe in baltimore. Lastly, I had the korean donuts. Huge serving and piping hot, clearly very fresh. Enough for 2-3 people to share. I look forward to eating here again ASAP, one of my new favorite restaurants for sure. The cashier was very friendly as well as the rest of the front of house staff. My only complaint is that it’s pricey, but well, it’s 2023.

Located right inside the main entrance to the mall. They offer something different. We had the Korean bbq 10 pc wings with slaw and the soy garlic 4 wings + 2 drumsticks. Definitely give them a try. Oct 17, 2024

Service was less then good due to the cashier showing zero interest in anything. The white rice I could not believe was awful. The Korean BBQ wings were very delicious. Nice size wings and wonderful flavor. Price needs to be adjusted. I always see them with nobody in line and the price has to be a big part. 6 wings for 13 plus dollars. Way overpriced.

I’ve tried Bonchon years ago in MD. It finally made its way to the area last year (in the fall of 2023). It’s another nice addition to the Capital City Mall. BTW, I am happy that the Harrisburg area is turning more “metropolitan” as more and more trendier ethnic establishments come to town: Boba Cha and Bonchon in the mall, and I heard that Kongfu Tea will be opening up on Carlisle Pike. But it stills plays catch-up to Lancaster and York. I digress.

We tried the 12 piece wings ($16.95). For choices of sauce we skipped the more familiar soy sauce and the spicy, and opted for the more curious Korean BBQ and the Yangnyeom. You’re only allowed to choose up to 2 in an order BTW. It took less than 5 minutes, I kind of wished it took longer so we’d know for sure they were made to order. The batch were an assortment of wings and drumettes (3 and 9, respectively.) They weren’t pronouncedly crispy like Korean fried chicken are known for, but at least they were temperature hot. The Korean BBQ taste good but kind of went unnoticed, while the Yangnyeom sauce which is garlicky, sweet, and (not so) spicy. I prefer and recommend the latter.

Not a bad outing. The only miss today was the crust could have been crispier and thicker as should be the case if you deep-fry twice.

Disappointing to order “crispy double fried chicken” and open up the box to strips that may or may not have been cooked completely. Slimy outside, slimy “skin”, skin peeled right off.
Definitely not what I’ve had at other bonchon locations. Really disappointing.

Unfortunately no lunch special either which was also a good thing with bonchon. Not sure why anyone would come back :/

The girl at the front counter was super sweet and helpful when I was waiting in line. The only reason I rated 2/5 stars was because of the front staff.

The flavors were fine, but the chicken in my chicken sandwich was literally inedible. It is the hard, “woody” chicken which has the texture of raw meat, even though it’s cooked. The piece of meat was also very small. Unfortunately I had to throw away a $12 sandwich.
