Same story as always, didn’t eat here. I was just stopping by for a cold beverage. Place was bigger than expected. Beer was cold, staff was friendly. Ill stop by next time im passing through Mapelton.

Christine decided to close the bar at 7pm on a Saturday night. I sat down at 6:50 to order 2 bloody mary’s for my fiancé and I. The first thing I was greeted with was ‘you’re gonna have to slurp these down fast because I am leaving early and closing.’ I was shocked by how unprofessional that is. She serves us our two drinks and then says ‘I’m not getting all the vegetables out right now.’ At this point I thought she was joking. People order bloody mary’s for the vegetables most of the time. And the worst part was being charged 35 DOLLARS FOR TWO DRINKS. THIRTY FIVE. I have never once in my life tipped ‘0’ before tonight. I am shocked at how completely lazy Christine is. And how downright unprofessional she is. I had friends meeting us there for drinks and we had to tell them to not waste their time nor money. I will absolutely never return. I used to be a bartender and I am certainly not a sensitive person. It was so awful I thought it was a joke.

I’ve lived in Lane county since 1999 and today was the first time I ever had lunch at Franks. It was delicious. I didn’t toss any cold ones back, but the lunch was amazing. I ate the patty melt and I loved it. It will make a mess of your face and hands, but its worth it.

The Wifey and I on the way to Waldport stopped for lunch. Had an IPA and a club sandwhich. Pretty good sandwich and the beer was cold. Went to the bathroom and had a handy dandy convenient dispenser for some, I’m sure.

On my way to Florence my friend and I stopped in for a bathroom break and a bite. I have a service dog. Upon arrival a customer at the bar looked at me and said “what’s your disability” after telling him I had a neurological condition (which was actually none of his business) the bartender proceeded to tell me no dogs. She was sorry and knows it’s illegal for them to do that. Very disappointed, I understand there is a stigma. However I did not choose this for myself and I try to be a normal person. This felt isolating and discriminatory.

I read the previous reviews on how good the fish & chips were and decided to order it. I guess it depends on the day of the week and who the chef is but my batter dip was gooey and not done. I won’t order this dish again. This is a fun place to go, friendly people just having a good time. Worth the stop in for a visit just order something else besides the fish & chips
