Frankly’s Breakfast and Burger Shack has the best chicken and waffles in the world—crispy, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. The service was just as impressive, warm and welcoming, almost like being at my grandparents’ house. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel instantly at home. I can’t wait to go back ASAP! The only downside is that it’s a bit far from New York, but honestly, it’s worth the trip.

Everything was really good, I got the chicken and waffles and the chicken was fried really well. My bf got the cheesesteak omelette. I was a really good portion. Our favorite was the milkshakes, we got the mango passionfruit and we’d go back just to get milkshakes. Everyone was really friendly and the owner was really nice. Def recommend stopping in.

This place is awesome. The owner came over to greet us. The host was attentive and got us seated right away. The chef (I love to sit at the counter) chatted with us. And the food was awesome. They also have a frequent customer card so you can get a stamp every time you come and can get a free meal after 9 punches.

First time coming here and let me just start with how the atmosphere is so cozy! I felt welcomed instantly. The owner not only came to our table to sit down and chat, but went to everyone’s table to say hello! He was very easy going and kind! Now onto the food as it was very delicious and tasty! The pancakes were just what I was looking for and those chicken and waffles were special! I ate even after I was full! Everything was perfect and I will definitely be going back!

Franklyn’s Breakfast Burgers and Shakes feels like a hidden gem in Reading. They have recently opened for dinner hours so we were the only ones there when we arrived around 6pm on a Friday. We were greeted by owner Franklyn’s enthusiastic personality and charm. The rest of the staff was equally welcoming.
We started with a pecan milkshake since that was the flavor readily available. It lived up to the hype and was incredibly delicious.
For food, I had the fried chicken with macaroni and cheese and broccoli while my girlfriend had the shrimp po’ boy. Each dish left a little to be desired but the chef asked us for feedback and explained that he had recently been given feedback that the fried chicken was over-seasoned which baffled me. So I must have gotten an over-adjustment recipe. The po’ boy tasted a bit overcooked as well. Additionally, we were given garlic bread and side salads to start. We declined a complimentary appetizer as the amount of food was too much to stomach.
All in all it was a decent experience. If I ever return to Reading, I’d give the burger a try to accompany the world-class shake.
