My first time going there today and I will be going regularly weekly because this place is off the charts delicious! My friend and I split the chicken cutlet tacos stuffed with chopped Caesar salad and the salad was Super Fresh full of Parmesan and the dressing was perfect and the chicken cutlets were seasoned and cooked to perfection! I cannot wait to try their subs and desserts and pizza and pasta salads and all the other stuff that they have! Finally a great deli close to home!

I’ve been to Frankie’s Deli three times now and have had a mixed experience overall.

My first visit was to buy burrata. It was on the pricey side and didn’t have much of the creamy center, which was a bit disappointing.

The second time I ordered breakfast to go. I was on hold for about 10 minutes to place the order, and when I arrived, they told me the ticket had never made it to the kitchen and they’d have to start it then. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much urgency to fix the mistake — my order just went into the queue and had to wait another 20min for my food. The Party Like a Lox Star bagel sandwich tasted good and had lots of meat but the bagel itself felt store-bought. The Hangover sandwich wasn’t great either, mainly because the meat patty was pretty rough.

We recently gave it another try for Dinner. This time the order was ready when I arrived, which I appreciated. We tried a cheese pizza as a baseline, and while it was tasty, it wasn’t anything standout or worth a long wait. The vodka parm roll, however, was very good and probably the highlight of the meal. We also tried Reese’s cheesecake slices — they looked amazing but ended up being just okay.

Overall, the food here is good but not great, and the service has been similar in my experience. I can see why some people really like it, and it’s worth trying at least once to form your own opinion, but for me personally, it hasn’t quite lived up to the wait times.

This place is bursting with flavor! No wonder the video of the tacos went viral. We could eat here for 3 days in a row and have all different types of meals. The turkey cutlet tacos were delicious! Sandwiches galore! New York style pizza. And the desserts….how do you choose?! Canolis, ice cream, brownies and more. EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Staff is friendly, quick service, reasonably priced. I highly recommend and will be back.

We stopped by on a Friday night during prime dinner time, and despite the long line and crowd, the service was fairly quick. It took about 30 minutes to receive our food, which felt reasonable considering how busy it was and the amount of food we ordered.

We ordered a variety of items, including pastries, chicken cutlet tacos, and pizza. The pizza was okay— mediocre, not particularly memorable. The chicken cutlet tacos, however, were amazing and were easily the highlight of the meal. I tried all three varieties—the penne vodka, fettuccine, and chicken Caesar—and the fettuccine chicken cutlet taco ended up being my favorite dish of the night.

Unfortunately, the honey balls were not good at all. They were inedible, and we had to throw them away, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the almond tiramisu was excellent, and the chocolate-dipped cannoli was just as good.

The atmosphere is very nice, and the service was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and professional. My only real drawback is the pricing. It’s definitely on the expensive side for a deli, and if it were more reasonably priced, I would visit much more often.

Overall, I’d rate Frankie’s a solid 4 out of 5. Great food in many areas and excellent service, but the pricing and a few misses on certain food items hold it back from being a full 5.

The drive and the wait were totally worth it!! The professionalism, politeness and impeccable customer service were just icing in the cake. The food was DELICIOUS!! We drove an hour to try the chicken cutlet tacos and they were, *chefs kiss*. The New Yorker was GIANT and mouthwatering. The pizza-crispy and perfect. The meatball sub, AMAZING! And the desserts were decadent. Even though we’re not family, we felt like part of the family today! We can’t wait to come back and try even more menu items!! Don’t walk…RUN to Frankie’s, you won’t regret it!!

Definitely has a NYC vibe to it.
Soon a I walking in, I felt like I was back home in Queens N.Y
What sold me was when I found out they serve “chop cheese” sandwiches!
It’s been over 15 years since I had one and as soon as I bit into it, it took me back in time!

Service was amazing, long line but definitely worth the wait.
The black/white cookies were phenomenal!
Pizza slices were huge like in New York!

Definitely my new favorite spot!

If you’ve never been to a New York deli, a wanna know what it’s like, just walk in to Frankie’s and i promise you, you won’t be disappointed!

Only thing that was missing was a sleeping cat somewhere in the store!…lol

Super tasty Italian deli. Able to order to eat there, to go or have delivered by your favorite services. Service by the guy at the prepared food area was solid and friendly. Service by the cashier ladies seemed hit or miss as I watched others while I waited for my food order. Now the food… the knish was perfect! Served freshly deep fried with a tasty mustard…awesome! Great texture. So much better than the mush served at Jo-El’s in St. Pete. We ordered the 12” Staten Island sandwich (chicken parm, fresh mozzarella, homemade vodka sauce on great bread). We shared the sandwich and it was filling with the knishes. FYI: Cousin Vinny’s can learn something about great bread from here or Supernatural. Desserts: we ordered the Limoncello cake (tasty, very light) and the pistachio Nutella cake (yummy but missing something to take it to perfection. Maybe add roasted & salted pistachios for the salt kick plus crunchy texture?). Lots of other dessert options, breakfast options, pizzas and so much more. Easy to get to by taking the Crosstown to 301 south, near the Falkenberg cross intersection. Can’t wait to go back.

I saw a few videos on instagram with different folks trying the chicken cutlet tacos at Frankie’s so I had to go there and try them myself. It’s a smaller deli in a shopping center with just about everything you can imagine inside with a seating area inside an a few round metal picnic tables outside. I had to wait in a long line to order that was all the way back at the door. My husband grabbed a seat once we saw someone get up as the seating area was full. As I am in line I’m am looking at all the mouth watering desserts waiting to grab a menu that was on the counter ahead of me. Once I got the menu, there were so many things that hat I wanted to try (pizzas, paninis, pasta, hot and cold sandwiches, salads etc.). Maybe next time, this visit was for the chicken cutlet tacos. For $14.99 you can get 2 Vodka pasta, 2 Alfredo pasta, 1 Alfredo1, 1 Vodka or 2 Caesar salad. I wanted to try them all but I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat them all. I got the Alfredo and Vodka and two bottled teas. These were definitely worth the trip over to Tampa and the long wait in line. Hands down delicious! We will be going back soon!

My kids takes me into going to try the viral chicken cutlet tacos and I’m so glad they did. We tried all 3 flavors the ceaser salad/ vodka pasta and Alfredo pasta and I liked them all! Real NY deli and service experience too so you know the people and food are legit. The fresh antipasto was delicious. Cheesecake selection is large and we tried 4 flavors all they were great.
