Frankfort Chop House Set To Open In January! The restaurant …
Reviews
Our beverages were all tasty. One area for improvement would be the bread. It was just 3 cold rolls that were very clearly from a bag.
We had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. The breading was great, but everything needed a bit of salt and 3 shrimp I wouldn’t say were worth $30.
I had the scallops and risotto which was by far the best meal of all. My husband had the cowboy ribeye, which unfortunately had to be sent back for being completely raw. However, they were extremely apologetic and took care of getting a new steak as well as a beverage while we waited.
Again, it was their first week so I assumed there would be some flaws, and we want a local business to thrive. I am just hoping the food quality improves with time for the prices.
Unfortunately, our server was not attentive. She was at the bar making drinks all night while we were dining in. We weren’t at a high top in the bar area so we were confused why she was behind the bar the entire time. Service was very slow.
My husbands steak was great! But $90 is more than what we pay when we go downtown to the city for dinner. He got Mac&cheese as a side and it had absolutely zero flavor. Would not order again.
My seasbass was also delicious besides the southwest corn/vegetable mix that came with it was very crunchy and not cooked all the way.
We’re looking forward to trying this place again in a few months. Definitely OVERPRICED. Happy to see a new place to the area though and have another option for dinner.
Atmosphere & Interior
The moment you walk in, the space makes a statement. The interior is meticulously decorated, with an extravagant, upscale design that feels intentional in every detail. Beautiful chandeliers hang overhead, casting warm light across a room filled with plenty of comfortable seating. It’s the kind of décor that immediately elevates the mood and sets expectations for a refined dining experience. For a brand‑new restaurant, the ambiance is remarkably well‑established.
Parking is decent—not perfect, but manageable—and the location is a bit remote compared to other Frankfort spots. For us, the upside is that we can walk there if needed, which is a nice bonus.
Service
Service was one of the highlights. There were plenty of servers, and the staff seemed well‑coordinated for such a new establishment. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and efficient, which made the evening feel relaxed and well taken care of. It’s rare for a restaurant in its first week to feel this smooth.
Food & Drinks
We sampled a variety of dishes, and everything we tried was well‑prepared and satisfying.
• Crab Cake Appetizer – A strong start to the meal. Nicely seasoned, good texture, and a generous portion.
• Chicken Parmesan – Comforting, flavorful, and cooked just right. A classic dish done well.
• Steak Salad – Fresh, hearty, and balanced, with tender steak that added real substance to the plate.
The meal also came with bread and butter, which was a simple but welcome touch.
Across the board, the food quality matched the upscale feel of the restaurant.
Value & Pricing
The one thing diners should be aware of is the price point. This is definitely on the higher end for Frankfort. For two people—including drinks—you’re likely looking at around $100. It’s more expensive than many local options, but the quality, ambiance, and service help justify the cost. Still, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning a casual night out.
Overall Experience
Despite being brand new, the Frankfort Chophouse already feels like a fully realized dining experience. The décor is stunning, the service is attentive, and the food is genuinely enjoyable. Yes, it’s pricey, but for a special night out—or for anyone who appreciates a beautifully designed space paired with well‑executed dishes—it’s absolutely worth a visit.
We had a great time and will definitely be going back.
The lobster bisque soup is absolutely phenomenal and I’ve never had anything like it.
We got the surf and turf and another steak and it was cooked to perfection.
Our server was Luke and he did an excellent job being patient with us and explaining the menu as well as the overall service.
Ozzy, the manager really did a great job checking in on us and making sure our table was always clean.
We will be back!
