We tried two desserts as well: the chocolate cake and the cannoli pie, and we loved them. We will definitely come back and add this place to our list of favorite restaurants.
The staff was friendly overall, but they could have been a bit more attentive. I stood there for a few minutes before being noticed. Nothing major, just worth mentioning given how busy it was.
Now to the food.
I ordered The Caprese with fresh and whole milk mozzarella, roasted marinated cherry tomatoes, garlic, pesto cream sauce, pecorino romano, and olive oil, plus added grilled chicken. The flavors were good and well balanced, but the pie itself was very floppy, which took away a bit from the experience.
Next was the Meatball and Ricotta. This one really delivered. Great flavor, nice crunch, creamy ricotta, and solid cheese pull. This was my second favorite of the night and a strong choice.
Finally, the Doppio Pepperoni stole the show. Spicy, crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. This was easily my favorite pie and the one I would order again without hesitation.
Overall, Frank Pepe still delivers quality pizza and is worth the visit. Just plan ahead, expect a wait during peak times, and be patient. There is plenty of parking outside, you just may have to circle a bit. Definitely recommended.
Frank Pepe’s never disappoints! The pizza was absolute perfection — thin, crispy crust with just the right char, a flavorful sauce, and generous, perfectly cooked pepperoni. You can taste the tradition in every bite! The place had a great atmosphere, the staff was friendly, and service was quick even during the dinner rush. Definitely worth the hype — this is how pizza should taste! Can’t wait to come back again.
The clam pizza was different but good. The Pepe salad was delicious.
Jessica was our server and she was wonderful. We wanted to try the clam pizza for the first time but were very nervous to order it in case we didn’t like it. Jessica told us if we don’t like it she’ll get us a brand new pizza so we ordered the clam pizza. As a seafood lover I did it find it very clammy tasting. There was tons of fresh garlic on a white sauce. We didn’t like it so we got a simple half plain cheese and half pepperoni. It was cooked to perfection! Great char and chewy thin crust! The flavors were phenomenal. Sometimes you just gotta go back to basics. We also got a sausage and pepperoni pizza. Sausage was tasty and not fennel heavy (I don’t like fennel seeds). You can ask for light, medium or well charred crust; we like ours medium.
Check out the Stamford location and ask for Jessica.
