A great vibe, friendly baristas and light/welcoming space. Always makes me happy to see locally roasted coffee beans and specialty coffee drinks on a menu. They have high quality teas and fun barista recommendations on their menu. Only downside is that they use Monin syrups – I wish they had higher quality or house-made.

The coffee is consistently excellent, but the real standout is their butterscotch syrup. It’s rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — not overly sweet, just warm and indulgent. It adds such a unique touch to lattes and iced coffees that you won’t find just anywhere.

We first tried Foxtail for a dessert after a date night. The espresso milkshake was divine, so I kept coming back–I love a good coffee splurge occasionally. My last visit was a nightmare. I use a French press at home but didn’t have time to make it, so decided to use the app to order a French press on my way in to Fernindina last Friday. It was ready when I arrived so the convenience was there. Unfortunately it was awful. Whoever made it did not press out the grounds and the bottom third of the 12oz cup was full of grit. Leaving ground in the coffee also throws off the taste as they continue to steep as time passes. I drank what I could because I NEED coffee in the mornings. When I came through on my way home I showed them the grounds in the cup and all I got was “I’m so sorry; that’s not how it’s supposed to be”. What they do well, they do well but heaven help you if you need anything remade.

The “baristas” are not friendly AT ALL. The customer experience is more than just being handed a cup of coffee. A smile would be nice. Two of the three employees were having a private conversation while no one engaged the customers. The cashier was efficient yet unfriendly. Hello and have a nice day should be standard. It may be a nice place to sit and relax but the customer service is sorely lacking.

My wife and I tried foxtail on a recent trip to Amelia Island. The drinks were good but we asked for extra sweet and they weren’t. Not a deal breaker, just wished they would have been. Kelly’s ice was excellent and I can’t remember what flavor we got, but I’m sure they’re all good. I would definitely try this place again.

Generally unpleasant experience every time I visit. The rudeness of the barista today moved me to review and decidedly not return.
Being friendly and hoping to order, I was not greeted at the counter, only stared at with a scowl. The entire interaction made it obvious the barista was not happy to be there. No smiles, no pleasantries, seriously who let you work in a customer facing role?
Breakfast sandwiches (English muffin sandwich, and husbands hash brown sandwich) were greasy, small, and soggy.
Living equidistant from Foxtail and Mocama, I will choose Mocama every time, for excellent service, coffee, and breakfast.

Absolutely love this location. The decor is gorgeous. Location is perfect. Staff is knowledgeable. Drinks were delicious. Multiple Gluten free treats. The ice cream counter was super cute, and the ice cream was tasty. 🙂

Super nice staff, very clean building. The atmosphere is very cute and cozy! I love the decor and all the little stuff you can purchase. The coffee was delightful, I got an iced maple berry latte just to try something new and I was blown away! It tastes great. Everyone working seems like they’re happy to be there and happy to help you pick out a good drink or food. I come to Nassau just for college classes and I’ll be making sure I save extra time to stop here before class again!

Walked in so excited to try! I looked at the menu and saw Espresso beverages. I asked if they have the espresso but iced. It appears the woman at the register didn’t understand.
She said “can you explain what you mean?”
I said “Yes, an espresso but with ice so it’s chilled.”
She replies, “do you mean espresso with ice water?!” Then proceeds to show me a cup.
I said “For example, Starbucks has an iced shaken espresso”
Her: “I haven’t been to Starbucks in a long time.”
Me: “Okay I will have a caramel vanilla cold brew.”
I could see the conversation was going nowhere.
