The service was goood. Mostbof the food was good. The fish comes in huge portions! It very good. The cold scotch egg was a miss for us, seemed bland. The seafood chowder was excellent!

Great Spot for Food
We had lunch on a mid-October Monday. There were few customers. The pub ambience and decor are definitely UK. Reception and seating were good. Service was prompt, professional and very friendly. Our server was knowledgeable and had good suggestions to give. We had beers – which were fine. The food came on time, and was great. All-in-all we had a great experience, and can fully recommend this restaurant if you’re in Ladysmith. You won’t go wrong.

A must stop! If you’re traveling up or down the island this place is a must see. The food and decore is amazing. Very friendly staff and will definitely be back again.

I have been there a number of times and had good service and food and it is usually busy on a Friday night. This time it was different. I ordered the bangers and mash. I had just the returned from Scotland and had some incredible bangers and mash there, so the bar was set pretty high for this dish. The bangers were OK, but the rest of the meal was pretty uninspiring. The so called mashed potatoes tasted more like potato flakes and the gravy was quite watery ( It tasted like a mix). Overall the meal and lacked any taste, depth of flavour, or authenticity. There are some good alternatives to this place in and around Ladysmith where the food is made with more passion.

We had lunch here and the food was very good. Had the Chicken Bacon Brie burger and the Chicken Strips. Nice atmosphere and good service but we found the pub to be a bit too cool inside on a windy rainy day. More heat would have been nice!

Every time we’re in town we always come here! I walked in with a sore throat and after eating the bangers and mash the pain was pretty much gone! I’m pretty sure it’s all homemade food there as well.

Very disappointing meal. Food was barely warm. My bean burger was a premade patty with one slice of processed cheese. Not even melted. My Husband had the bangers and mash potatoes were lumpy and gravy was not hot. Both obviously from a mix. Nothing tasted homemade. Only saving grace was very good service. Place was half empty on a Friday evening which says something. And the meal was over $60.

Ladysmith local for a cold pint of beer, a glass of wine, that also offers a variety of good pub food and daily specials. The selection of savoury pies are delicious. My all time must have is the fried dill pickles. Excellent friendly service. Today’s choice was Poutine and Chicken Caesar salad.
