Definitely get the walleye (fish) in either of its forms, it’s super fresh and delicious

The place is relatively closed to some of the attractions in the area, and it’s one of the few places open later than others, a which was a plus when exploring around.

It has a nice outside seating available

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while hiking in the area. We both ordered hamburgers and they were good, but just average. There is plenty of seating and parking at the restaurant. The restroom was clean. Atmosphere is lacking.

Great service and amazing food. Cozy atmosphere and a liquor store in there as well.

Nice bar and restaurant tucked away off the beaten path. Everything was clean and service was good. Arrived 20 minutes before the dinner menu and couldn’t order early. Had a couple burgers – Mushroom and Swiss plus a Western Burger. Both were good but nothing off the charts amazing. It was nice to have a dinner during the winter holidays away from the busy crowds.

A little treasure tucked away in a small town. We found this gem after getting back to our hotel for the evening and finding out everything close was closed. We drove in a storm 30-45 minutes away and after walking in the door we knew it was going to be good. 100% gives a small town bar vibe when you walk in the door. Everyone looks toward the opening door to see who it is and will greet you by name if they know who you are otherwise you are met with a smile.

We got there a few minutes before their kitchen closed, but the owner/cook that evening assured us they would still make our order. Our server was amazing! Very welcoming and attentive and when we told her we were HUNGRY she steered us in the direction of the Fish Fry Dinner Special they had going that night. Unlimited amount of fish & fries for $15-16 and boy was it good!!! Great flavor, and the breading was nice and crispy. We also ordered the fried mushrooms & bloody Mary’s from the bar. Mushrooms had a great crunch, for being fried none of the food had an overly greasy taste. The bloody Mary’s were really good too with a nice kick to them.

We will be back hopefully in the near future.

If you want to leave the beaten path for a meal, here you go! If traveling off-season, the locals at the bar will stare at you as you enter, wondering how/why in the world you are here.
The food is good. Freshly made. The menu is limited to certain hours of the day because this is a smaller establishment.

I didn’t order fries to go with my salad…until I tasted my sister’s. Great stuff.

Poor service here this evening, had to search out the waitress for our checks to leave. Ruined the night. Poor attitude…1 round of drinks in 45 minutes… the other waitresses working seemed to be covering their tables well visiting the table next to us and other tables throughout our time waiting, 20 minutes for our bill before we were forced to seek her out and tab out. We were planning on food but who knows how long that would’ve taken, decided to cut our loss and make food at home.
Atmosphere was lively but not too overly busy (half the tables were open), great spot for a family meal. I’m sure it’s a good spot most other times, must have hit it on an off night. Hey at least the round of drinks we did get were pretty cheap ‍♂️

We were grateful that the place was open after 6pm as there are not many choices available. The restaurant was nice, very dated and in need of repair as the cedar shakes had a musty smell to them. The service was lacking, we sat for quite a while waiting for a server, when we finally got one, he was very responsive and friendly. Prices were reasonable and the food was really good.

Went for the Friday Fish Fry. Ordered at 7:55pm. Got a drink, and kept being told that our food was coming, just the kitchen was delayed by the huge table ahead of us. At 8:45pm, after 50 minutes waiting for the “special of the day” and watching tables seated after us get served, we finally canceled our order and left. Picture for proof of being there.
