This was our first time trying this place and I wish we would have sooner. We had the catfish sandwich as a combo; we chose an egg roll for the side and it came with a drink. We also got the catfish 6 shrimp combo as well with coleslaw and onion rings which were to die for! Everything had just the right amount of batter and seasoning. The sweet tea and lemonade was really good as well. Will totally be back 10/10. Please go give them a try if you are in the area and can do so.

This is officially my new favorite place for fried seafood! From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. There’s plenty of parking, and the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming!

I was juggling my toddler and baby, and one of the owners stepped in and kindly held my baby so I could get my toddler settled. She was incredibly sweet and even brought my toddler some fries while we waited for our food. That level of kindness meant so much to me!

And the food? Absolutely perfect! Everything was fried to golden perfection and ridiculously delicious. We had scallops, fish, shrimp, salmon, oysters, crab claws, hush puppies, and fries — basically fried EVERYTHING — and every single bite was amazing. The tartar and cocktail sauces complemented everything so well!

We had trays to share with family, and everyone loved it! You can truly taste the care that goes into the food! We will absolutely continue supporting this wonderful family-owned small business!

This place has its ups and downs. I had the catfish with six shrimp, but my meal didn’t quite hit the mark. The fish didn’t taste as fresh as I hoped, even though I was running late to pick up my order. The batter on the fish seemed a bit tough, but the fish itself was fine. The shrimp was okay, but the fries were dry and not very tasty. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Nothing beats fresh Gulf shrimp prepared to perfection! This establishment is a well-run family business. Their catfish sandwich comes loaded with thick, golden-fried filets. Vy and her family truly strive for excellence in their service. Be sure to pick up some fresh seafood after dining in! And don’t forget to try their sweet tea—it’s a must!

I have been a customer of this fish market for more than 12 years under the previous owner and never experienced any issues. Unfortunately, my recent interactions under the new ownership have been disappointing.

During a recent visit, I purchased an item that was represented as fried cod. When I got home, I realized it was actually a minced cod mixture with other ingredients, which was not what I expected or what I had previously received from this establishment. The following day, I returned to inform the owner of the misunderstanding. She prepared a different dish of comparable price, but did so with a noticeable attitude that made the interaction uncomfortable.

Two days later, I returned to purchase dinner again. After the cashier took my order and I was about to pay, the owner came out and abruptly pointed to a sign posted in the store that read “No Refunds.” I explained that my previous visit was not about requesting a refund but about an item that had been misrepresented. Despite this, she repeated the policy again in a curt manner. I acknowledged that I had already heard her the first time and that repeating it was unnecessary.

At that point, she responded in a rude and unprofessional way, stating that if I did not like it, I could leave. Given the tone of the interaction, I chose to do exactly that.

It is unfortunate to see such a long-standing neighborhood establishment decline under new management. In addition to the change in customer service, the overall quality of the food appears to have diminished, and the storefront is now covered with numerous signs that detract from the welcoming atmosphere the market once had.

Based on my recent experiences, I can no longer recommend this establishment. Long-time customers who value quality food and respectful customer service may want to consider other options.

First time in. Exceptional customer service. The owner, Clay, is amazing. For a moment I thought I was on Candid Camera because I’ve never had this level of hospitality at a tiny restaurant that seems to do mostly carry out.

Clay offered complimentary sweet tea that he made himself while handing me a cup filled with a generous amount of nugget ice. He also offered a refill. The sweet tea is some of the best I’ve had.

The restaurant is spotless. One of the coolest things is seeing bottles of various sauces (cleaned after each use) available for customers to pull from a glass door fridge.

It’s also nice to see where the food is being cooked and how clean and organized it is.

The food is exquisite. I ordered fried oysters, fried jumbo shrimp, fried soft shell crab, and fried stuffed crab. I love that they don’t use a heavy breading and that it’s seasoned perfectly.

I was visiting Houston, staying in the Galleria area, and in the mood for fried fish. This turned out to be a pretty good fried fish spot. We had the catfish and shrimp combo with fries and hush puppies. Everything was tasty, even if it could have used a touch more seasoning, and the portion was larger than expected. Although there is limited seating, (so mostly take-out orders) the staff were extremely nice and made the dine-in experience quite pleasant. I will return.

I stand by this place as a Houston staple, this is one of the top fish market neighborhood joints around houston/possibly ever. They serve good fried seafood and they’re absolutely exceptional at taking care of ya as you get your grub on. 11/10, if I had a list of It spots, this is definitely up in the top 10
