This place was great!!! The food was amazing. Will return the owner, which is Jim was very welcome in. He came out and asked us about our food. The dessert was great. I had the peach cobbler crumble. I wasn’t too happy with it but other people might have a different opinion the sweet potato pie was good. That was a seasonal dessert I have to drink was a tropical crush cocktail. It was very refreshing with a rise and sun burger my friend had the shrimp tacos. She said they were amazing. It was a good vibe pretty reasonable, but it is where a lot of college kids are and also parking parking is not the greatestis best to probably park in a parking lot. Don’t forget to pay at the kiosk. Please pay attention to the kiosk when you’re paying, but besides that it’s a great vibe and I want for lunch.

This was my first time coming to Founding Brothers. My fiancee and I came in for brunch/ lunch and cocktails. We each got something off the brunch menu and ordered 3 different flavors of wings. For drinks we went with their famous crushes. I got the pulled pork hash and it was perfect. The pulled pork is worth getting. For the wings we tried them breaded with the Nashville heat, Habanero peach, and the Hot honey. Truly recommend trying all of the flavors. For the drinks, the crushes are fresh and made perfectly. We enjoyed every bit of our meals, the wings and the crushes will definitely have us coming back. Our waitress Abigail was awesome, she offered suggestions and made sure our order was perfect. The food was cooked perfectly, service impeccable, and the atmosphere was unique.

The place is very beautiful, the atmosphere is incredible, but when we ordered the food everything seemed delicious until I removed the bread from my hamburger to remove the onions and I could notice a hair in the cheese of the hamburger, I said well these are things that can happen and I removed it and continued eating then we found another hair in my children’s pizza and we could not let that pass. In addition to that I ordered my hamburger well done and they didn’t bring it to me like that. I talked to the waitress, she served us very well, apologized and offered us another free burger and a dessert, but the truth is that we didn’t want to eat there again.

I have gone there about four times now. This restaurant is delicious! I always get their Founding Burger and fries; the atmosphere is truly amazing. They also have live music some nights too. All my friends loved it. I’ve gone on a date here before too! Jayde, one of my servers is absolutely cool.

I had an incredible experience at Founding Brothers in Newark, DE! From start to finish, everything was absolutely top-notch.
First, I have to give a huge shoutout to Chef Dave – the food was simply amazing. The Southern Fried Catfish was perfectly seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection – crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside. The sides of Mac & Cheese and Cornbread were rich, flavorful, and full of that true Southern comfort taste. Paired with their refreshing Southern Sweet Tea, it was a meal I’ll be craving again and again. Chef Dave’s talent in the kitchen truly made this dining experience unforgettable.
Equally impressive was the service. Grace, my server, was nothing short of fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail of my meal was taken care of with a smile. Her professionalism and warm hospitality made the evening even more enjoyable.
Between Chef Dave’s outstanding cooking and Grace’s amazing service, Founding Brothers has earned every bit of this 5-star review. I will definitely be back soon and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service in Newark!

Have been here twice and have been really impressed both times! The food is really good and the beer selection is fantastic. But what has made this place memorable for us was the top-notch service by multiple staff members including the manager/owner. The last time my wife and I went with our three young children, they went out of their way to make us feel beyond welcome and happy including giving us a surprise free fried Oreo desert which was incredible. Having been to Nashville, it is cool having a little slice of Nashville nearby. Looking forward to continuing to frequent Founding Brothers!

Wife and I visited last night. Rather slow and will associate that with the storm. Decor is nice, fresh and very Nashville. Menu didn’t wow with selections but that’s ok. Got mild wings as an appetizer which were fried and just doused with sauce. Mild had a little heat which we liked. Boneless were a better deal than bone in at almost $2 per wing. Wife got Pizza and I got the Smokehouse Burger. Pizza was ok, burger was typical with fried onions and BBQ sauce. Tasted alright but meat was slightly undercooked. Waiter was young and attentive and did a good job. As we were leaving and Restaurant was practically empty and none of the staff there even acknowledged us despite walking right past them. I don’t think I’m being overly picky but have general expectations compared to other establishments in the area. Overall, a positive experience but rather underwhelming. Would go back and try again in the future, but it’ll be awhile before that happens.

I got the Smokehouse BBQ burger and the patty just seemed like it had been frozen. Definitely not a fresh juicy burger that I was hoping for. Everything else was great and the service was fine considering I only saw like 2 waiters walking around. I would go back during happy hour or when the live music starts.

I had better hopes for this place.. its a great concept with mediocre execution.. its a common theme now days to build an image of a place thats doing great things in the kitchen.. something chef inspired with southern roots .. unfortunately thats further from the truth than I hoped for , the food is basic and nothing on the menu requires any level of skill in the kitchen the items start life as basic frozen food , even the to-go containers are a disappointment.. the comeback sauce is a cool name but certainly nothing to comeback for .. the shrimp are something you would from Seapak with a dynamite sauce inside.. be it in a taco or a shrimp basket its disappointing..
The chicken wings are decent
The cornbread i didn’t eat as it wasn’t even warm, couldn’t even melt the butter that was a glob on top ..

We had such a fantastic dinner tonight. Our server Grace was wonderful from start to finish—so warm, attentive, and she made us feel completely comfortable. She even encouraged us to stay and enjoy the live music and let us hang out in our booth without ever making us feel rushed.
Now the food… wow. These were truly the best wings I’ve ever had. We tried the Tennessee BBQ and the dry seasoning and both were unreal—perfectly crispy and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the pimento cheese dip to the burger and shrimp basket.
One of the coolest moments of the night was when our friend was talking about the Brussels sprouts he had last time. He was trying to point them out when plates walked by, and the GM overheard and surprised us with a complimentary order. They were incredible with a hot honey drizzle and almonds. The sweet and savory combo was next level.
Between the amazing food, the hospitality, and the welcoming atmosphere, this place has officially become a favorite. I can’t say enough good things and highly recommend it.
