Came here for the 1st time & really loved it! From the atmosphere, to the service, to the tasty custom drinks. The French onion soup was amazing! All the food was good except the blackened chicken wasn’t really blackend chicken because it wasn’t spicy at all, a little bland. But ill def be back!

The inside is kinda rustic, but in a very nice beautiful way. The utensils are even wrapped, and hand tied with twine. That was a very nice touch. I will give the place and service a 10/10. When I go out to eat, all I really care about is the food. Now for the food. Im from the deep south and grew up around country and Cajun food, sometimes going out to eat just breaks your heart, and this time was one of those. I had fried green tomatoes, meatloaf/mash potatoes and a side order of Mac and cheese. Wife had the low country smash burger with fries. The fried green tomatoes were freaking awesome! Probably some of the best ive had, and even competes with any of the best sountern/Cajun fried green tomatoes ive eaten in the past, 10/10. I just wish they would give 4 instead of 3 for the price of $18. It would be really awesome if they would have this as a dish with maybe 4 around the edges and a dish in the middle. Maybe a gumbo, jambalaya, or dirty rice. Now the meatloaf, the glaze was really good, and it’s a shame that it stops there. The actual meatloaf was dry, and missing alot of ingredients like onions, bell peppers, salt, pepper, garlic, spices, eggs, ect. If any of that was in there, not only i didn’t see it, but didn’t taste any of it. The meat fat content like the fat % also plays a big part in a good meatloaf, and not just some fancy name like ” Angus beef.” It definitely need more sauce to help with the dryness, 4/10. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. They had a nice creamy texture with a good butter/salt ratio, 7/10. The Mac and cheese, well, let’s just say, at least is wasn’t box Mac and cheese. Thats the best i can really say about that. It was so bland, and I mean BLAND!!! its like they just threw noodles in some cheese and whatever milk/cream they used, and that was it. Stuff like this is what gives whites a bad name when it comes to cooking. There was zero love put into this whatsoever. Don’t even think they tast test while they’re making the food because I wouldn’t have sent this out. At least add some salt, pepper, paprika at minimum, 3/10. The hamburger/fries my wife ordered was really good. My wife didn’t like that the bacon it was a gummy texture, but other than that, she loved it, and so did I. I would give it 8/10. The fries were amazing, they were kinda thin and had a nice crispy crunch with a perfect amount of salt, 10/10. Will I be back? Eh!! I might one day, but will definitely not order what I already order except for the fried green tomatoes. So far, the price seems more to justify the atmosphere rather than food quality. I really cant and won’t speak on that because its a subjective topic. If I know for a fact that they changed the ingredients and added for flavor into the food I ordered, I would give it another try, but until then, no, I would not order that agin.

We had the best first experience at Founders! It started with a friendly welcome from the host stand. Very rustic atmosphere showcasing their bourbon collection, down to the twine wrapped around the silverware and mason jar cups! Bryan was an outstanding bartender, on point, friendly conversation, not in your face, efficient and skilled at his trade. He also made excellent food and drink suggestions. The crab dip was delicious, burgers were fresh, hand cut fries beat out Thrashers fries any day. We had the raspberry lemonade sangria and peach bourbon smash, both yummy! Wish we would’ve had room for one of their delectable looking desserts. We will be back again!

We had an amazing experience! We are out of towners and this was recommended by our host. I had the short rib and it was delicious! My family liked their meals as well. And they all stole bites of mine and wanted more. The waitress was so sweet and was great with our ordering and refills.

I love this chill patriotic hip neighborhood libations and food spot! From the classy American decor and the wooded brick interior, everything about Founders never fails to hit the spot. Although a bit pricey, the attention and care of the entire experience is perfect. I was particularly impressed with the elegant caring of current waitstaff who adapted easily to my menu change up requests at a moments’ notice. Also, I was particularly impressed with the selection of teas and how the box was presented with flair for my selection. The fish and chips were divinely light and airy and my waiter accommodated my unusual request to sample something. The entire staff does a phenomenal job homage guests feel welcome and the music is always hip and relaxing too. Perfect alcohol and mixed drink selection as well! A Pasadena MUST!

We really enjoyed the burgers last time we met my mom for lunch there. The atmosphere was pleasant, not to noisy. The lighting was soft, and the background music level was not overpowering. My husband had a double burger, he said it was very good almost too much though. He plans on single burger next time. The single Angus beef burger is just the right amount, with good flavor. A large serving of frys came with our burgers. The frys were hot when they were served, however they got cold fast despite being served on a metal plate. The service was very good and the bathroom was clean.

My niece and I stumbled upon Founders after I recently moved to the area. I’m thrilled that we found it so close to my new home! The service was excellent and we received several recommendations that were spot on. The specialty cocktails were delicious and every single item of food was perfect! I can’t wait to go back with other friends/family and enjoy even more of the menu.

Founders is a great neighborhood spot for a delicious meal. We stopped in on a Saturday and it was busy, with lots of folks waiting for tables. They have outdoor seating in the warmer weather and a full bar. We saw lots of families with small children and some larger groups too.

We waited around 20-30 minutes for a table, and grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting. Karina was so friendly and very knowledgeable about all things whiskey!

We ordered the pork belly appetizer, a wedge salad, Maryland crab soup, the burger, chocolate cake and their apple dessert. Everything was delicious. Very friendly staff and attentive service.

Tucked into a mega-strip mall that includes a Walmart and BJs Warehouse, so who expected such good food or friendly services? It’s rustic and casual with a great beer and bar selection. If it is crowded, please ASK what comes out quickly. This is real food. Some of it takes just a little time. (I’m talking to you, Rush Hour Dad ordering 5 meals lto go like the place is a drive-thru)
