Very good atmosphere. Love the venue. Food is meh, given the price I’d say underwhelming. Overpriced. I’d rather have a steak at Texas Roadhouse. Which I’m not really a fan of. I can cook better at home. My drink was way overpriced. Love the people and the atmosphere but honestly the food was not even close to the price. Stay home make your own steaks, and own drinks.

Wonderful experience! Service was exceptional despite us not being members. Servers were very knowledgeable on the food including the specials. We will 100% be back whether or not we join or it’s open for the public. Again, worth every penny we spent. Hats off to the Chef and staff!

hello channel
I will start with the positives. The atmosphere is nice, new, and inviting.
The food presentation was very nice looking. And for the most part, everyone’s dish tasted good! Service needs a bit of education on things. Our menus were different for each, so the waiter had to get the correct menus. As a gluten-free guest, the menu was extremely confusing because they had items marked with GS that were clearly NOT gluten sensitive(GS) or able to be prepared without gluten. For example, the meatloaf was marked GS, and it is served on top of fried Mac and cheese, ummmm, are you sure this is GS? The whole menu was marked incorrect for GS. They had Tiramisu and Graham cracker crust cheese cake marked GS, but NO, they are not able to be gluten sensitively altered. So if you are gluten-free, you know what you can have and not have, I ordered the orange glazed salmon bowl, and it was good. Strip steak, meatloaf, lobster Mac & cheese are also pictured. The waiter had to check with the chef for all my GF questions. It seems they need to work on their menu GS labels and give staff education on their menu items. It’s a nice place, food is ok, but if you are GF, be mindful of what you order. Oh, they also mentioned they have gluten-free buns available for the sandwiches. That’s a plus! I’m not sure if I would return for another try, to be honest

We were invited to come up to try the full gambit of everything 88 Tactical had to offer (on a music night nonetheless). Shooting, dinner, and a show. I was pretty damn excited and my wife and I went into the evening with the intent of getting a family membership. I was told the young “chef” was lured away from downtown Omaha and was beyond great!

My wife had a blast shooting, we checked our hardware into the locker room, and then went upstairs for dinner. I was so excited…!

(*cracking knuckles) – sorry guys.

The waitress was pretty unprepared when it came to some of the basics, like how to open a bottle of wine, but that wasn’t going to dissuade me on trying to really love the experience. We ordered our meals and chatted as we waited (and waited, and waited, and waited). I saw, who I can only assume was the “chef”, walking around the dining room to see if people were enjoying his culinary prowess. Perhaps he should have stayed in the kitchen for quality control checks… because what came out was not on target.

Now, there are certain things you should be able to order without having to look at the menu – these are global menu items that are as unchanging as time itself. Caesar salad: romaine lettuce, croutons, Parmesan cheese, and Caesar dressing (dried anchovies if you’re really into giving it a flavor punch). I got eggs, bacon, skittles, and a boot in mine. Okay, obviously that is an exaggeration, but I am really getting tired of “chefs” who try to change the classics. While there is “raw egg” in the original Caesar dressing… I couldn’t get around how many hard boiled eggs that were in mine – and it was covered in bacon. I love bacon – not in my Caesar salad though. Now, this was a salad I had to order separately… so I would think the waitress would have taken it off my tab considering I didn’t take a bite and even laughingly told her the “chef” should be keel-hauled for messing it up. Apparently, she missed that memo. But, this was on me. I should have read the menu… next time… hopefully I don’t have the challenge the chef’s culinary prowess by asking him to hold the grilled licorice and curry powder on my Caesar salad (*said tongue in cheek of course).

Next came the main entrees. My wife didn’t particularly care for her lobster-whatever it was… and my ribeye was descent. The mashed potatoes were fairly bland and the “roasted” baby carrots and broccolini were a raw, oily mess.

Overall, I probably wouldn’t eat here again. I’m just being honest. My tab was $140 and I gave the waitress a $100 tip just so she didn’t think I was complaining just for the sake of complaining.

**********
To the “chef”… if you can’t get the basics right… don’t try to make improvements to the classics; it’s no bueno and foodies like myself will ding you every time. Take the hard boiled eggs and bacon out of the Caesar salad… add dried anchovies, and serve it colder than room temperature.

For the baby carrots and broccolini… if you’re going to call them “roasted”… don’t toss them in an oily skillet and half-cook them… actually roast them – we can tell the difference.

For the mashed potatoes… salt and pepper go a long way. Maybe whip them with some butter and sour cream… I’m not sure what y’all did to the ones on my plate… but they were about as underwhelming as you can get.

I honestly tried to love the menu… but it was just too off. I didn’t eat most of my meal, neither did my wife, so we ordered a charcuterie board in the Speak-Easy… that was a least on point.

Excellent dining experience! The Burnt Ends Meatloaf was a bursting with rich flavors and perfectly cooked to a tender consistency. Accompanied by a side of mashed potatoes, fried mac & cheese, and vegetables, the meal was both satisfying and delicious. The attentive service and inviting atmosphere only added to the overall enjoyment, making it a phenomenal evening.

Food was really good. A lot better than we anticipated. They were a bit understaffed and the nice lady that was in charge of our table mentioned ahead of time. Beer choices were great also. Several local brew’s they were out of, probably because they were really good. I highly recommend the 88 Tactical Restaurant. We have also ate Brunch on Sundays several times. The French Toast is really, really good.

I as a Founders Club member I brought 3 guests to the cafe last night 10/07/23. One guest had the chicken special and rest of us had the pork and gravy special. I was completely embarrassed by the food that was served, the pork special came to the table less than lukewarm with the gravy starting to congeal. It was sent back and we received it back as warmed up leftovers. NOT GOOD!
As for having a loud band playing, while someone is trying to have a nice dinner with a meaningful conversation this is not a place that!

Restaurant inside 88 Tactical. Great atmosphere. Wonderful food with weekly and seasonal specials. Freshly made food. My daughter feels their fish and chips is the best in town and I agree.

There is a bar with sports TVs. A golf “swing suite” is available to rent. They also have an extensive wine selection.
