Okay, after my second time visiting this place, I have to leave a comment!
First of all, the food is good!! But the service makes it 2x better!
I walked in, ordered, and then ordered over the phone, and both times I felt very welcomed. They were very patient with me and answered all my questions regarding the items on the menu, provided awesome recommendations.
One thing that I did notice was that I came in 15 minutes before closing, and I was afraid that the service was going to be rushed, but it was the complete opposite.
My food was made to order (not sitting out cold, because nothing worse than old cold food that was sitting out all day), the order handled with care, and I did not feel rush at all. Everyone has a positive attitude, and it’s just a great experience both in person and over the phone.
Now to the real beef—the empanadas!
I got the carne y queso and the Argentina— a more traditional type. Both were very flavorful, tender, juicy meat. Definitely not dry. The dough is also good—not too thick or oily. I usually don’t eat the crust, but I ate 100%.
The plantains are also sweet and cooked to perfection.
Overall, 10 out of 10, good service, try the Argentina or carne y queso with the jalapeño dipping sauce or garlic aioli!

I had the chorizo empanada and the carne. Both are delicious and, with rice and beans, you can’t go wrong! Service was top notch, and staff are charming and really welcoming. I have to try everything before I pick favorites, so I’ll be back with an update. Spectacular!

Wasn’t really greeted in a friendly welcoming way…which is wild because it was the owner. The restaurant was a total mess. Kids toys everywhere. Things look like they’re thrown everywhere. Employees winter shoes in the front of the restaurant like if we’re entering the front hallway to someone’s home.
Now for the actual food…me being Hispanic i have experienced amazing empanada focused restaurants and never have experienced a rip off….the empanada in terms of flavor was decent but the portion to size should be illegal. For 6 dollars plus tax the empanada was smaller than my hand. Where did we loose the essence of Hispanic culture and generational technique. Barely any meat and a small empanada??? Yea no

These are the tastiest empanadas I’ve come across since the late, lamented Oriental De Cuba in Jamaica Plain closed last year. Their special with two good-sized empanadas, a side, and a drink is a great deal at $15. Not a place to go for Dining-In atmosphere, but a great choice for a quick and tasty takeout.
