My wife and I stumbled into Foundation Room after a couple of places we had planned to visit closed earlier than expected. Honestly, it felt like the universe nudging us exactly where we were supposed to be.
From the moment we walked in, we were blown away. We were greeted by Alex, who was absolutely outstanding. Incredibly welcoming, genuinely kind, and made us feel like regulars instead of first-time visitors. He went out of his way to take care of us and set the tone for what turned into a phenomenal night.
The decor is stunning, the ambiance is effortlessly cool, and the vibe strikes that rare balance between upscale and genuinely welcoming. The music, lighting, energy, and drinks all felt intentional and perfectly dialed in. It’s one of those places where you immediately relax and think, yeah… this is it.
The rest of the staff deserves equal praise. Everyone we interacted with was warm, attentive, and clearly proud of what they do. Nothing felt rushed or pretentious—just great service and great people.
Easily the highlight of our New Orleans trip and one of those unexpected finds you end up talking about long after the vacation is over. If you’re anywhere near it, don’t overthink it—go. You’ll be glad you did.

Came to a show at the house of Blues. It is definitely worth the money to get the Foundation room access. Let you in a couple of hours before the show and they have live music in the Foundation room. The food was very good and the bar service was excellent. But I would recommend staying for an extra 30 to 45 minutes because the show never starts on time and you might as well enjoy the music in the Foundation room instead of just sitting and looking at a blank stage for 45 minutes.

This is an amazing place. Very upscale feel and super service. We were greeted by Alex, the host and when we left, he invites us back. Our waiter/bartender was Jeremy. He worked hard to make sure we had whatever we needed. Dr. Sick was playing live and if you have never had the pleasure of hearing him turn loose, make reservations. He plays Wednesdays at 21st Amendment. The food was good and the drinks were well done. Overall, this may be a new favorite hangout on Decatur.

We find the Foundation Room is a nice break from the constant party atmosphere that can sometimes be The House of Blues. The private dining room and separate seating areas are very nice. Not always but often there is entertainment and the staff are dedicated to this one area. We find it nice for meeting with friends for a meal or just wine or cocktails

I had an amazing time here for my birthday! The door man Alex and the hostess Leslie were so attentive to us and made it such a memorable experience! The food, drinks, music and ambiance exceeded my expectations. Definitely would refer for anyone in the city to visit while there.

Amazing spot that you’d never suspect from the looks of the outside or entryway hallway. My friends and I were debating whether we wanted to pay the cover and the gentleman at the entry let us in for free. The cocktails were delicious – I had the cucumber one and it was very refreshing!
