Rocky Road – 4/5 – A very nice treat. Who could say no to vanilla with chocolate and marshmallows. YUM!
Service: 3/5 – Standard service
Ambiance: 3/5 – Not much of an ambiance. There is some seating but you are basically eating in the parking lot.

Good prices and the food was really tasty and quick. Really nice people to deal with. Right on a main path in Berkeley, open till 9pm which is good since alot of the places are closed by 7 or 8pm….

I have no idea what the food tastes like because they were out of everything we asked for. I also could barely hear the cashier because he refused to speak up even after asking him to repeat himself 3 times each question. This was easily some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

This is purely a review of their food – I’m not about to judge them on the space since they’re kinda in a parking lot. I’ve had their food a few times, and I usually start on my meal about 5 mins after I got it from them. This is kind of a factor for burgers and fries…
…And they are excellent! Their burgers are solid, and very reasonably priced. I like Jack in the Box, but if I’m paying $8-10 on a nice burger from either place, Fosters Freeze is by far the better choice. Minimal grease or salt, doesn’t make me want to run and grab a salad afterwards – yeah, these guys are legit!
As for fries, I’d rate them as pretty good overall, but you can’t go wrong with their waffle fries – so good that I’m tempted to go back just to order only those!
If you think of them as a takeout spot and not a sit down restaurant, then they’re definitely up there at the top. Thanks guys!

I have come here a few times with a friend of mine when we are in the area.
Its a blue building…you order outside and pick up outside…no indoor seating.
This time I ordered a small tripple berry sundae…3.99…vanilla ice cream…topped with like a berry compote which was really good …whipped cram…chopped peanuts and a cherry on top…i very much enjoyed it…very refreshing.
he ordered a medium strawberry shake…4.31. He said he really enjoyed it.
They also sell food such as hotdogs…burgers…pastrami burger…grilled cheese…shrimp in chips…fries…onion rings…corn dogs…as well as other ice cream treats like soft serve cones or dipped cones…blizzards…eat.
I like this place a lot…

When your regular fast food cream machine breaks down, you can always count of Fosters to have your back. In addition, they have a variety of cold drinks, burgers and hot dogs. This location also has a small amount of parking.

This is one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever been to. I ordered a burger combo and the soda was completely flat and the ranch dressing was literally chunky. And they charged me for it!
