We moved to the area in 2011 and have eaten here at least every quarter since then! The food is consistently good! My wife loves the orange chicken, and I found my favorite dish last year: Chong King hot chicken, as spicy as they can make it! We rarely leave with leftover food. It is always a treat to eat at Fortune Star!

A group of us just finished going to the game farm nearby and stopped by this place. It’s a bit tucked away in an obscure building across from Hurricane Café and the entrance isn’t easy to find, so it’s like looking for a treasure. Once you find it though, it’s like finding a treasure. Originating from Chinatown, NYC, this place holds it’s own, all the while having some options for both gluten intolerant and with healthier options.

We showed up on a whim, glad we did, shared the dim sum , these were great goobs of goodness, could of just had those, but we soldered on and had a cup of hot and sour soup, but we didn’t stop there, then ordered the general TSO chicken and Singapore Curry seafood, both awesome and more than we should have eaten, we waddled out satisfied and fully stuffed. Great food and quick service

The food missed the mark. We got the happy family. There was no dragon breath.( Which means was not made in a wok). The meat was tuff. Over all the dish was not very edible. Service and atmosphere was very good. Oh the price was more than I expected. Lunch started at $14.95. Online it said $8.95

We have been eating here for 3 years, loving their General Tsao chicken, UNTIL last night. Worst ever, doughy chicken balls. Each tiny piece of chicken was rolled in some kind of doughy batter. I had taken a friend there and had raved about the food. So disappointing..I did ask the server about the change to chicken but unfortunately he either didn’t understand me or just didn’t care. Last visit for us!

This place is so tasty! They have lunch specials and are really good with dietary restrictions, including gluten free which can be difficult in Chinese cuisine. The tofu shrimp roll is amazing and gluten free!!!

Waiter was so bad. Didn’t even greet when first come in. Before asking if they can grab the used plates bowl they just got plates when the meals wasn’t even done. So bad no communication or friendly smile. I wont recommend sweet and sour chicken it was bad. Mongolian beef was so different from actual mongolian beef. If you eat mongolian beef in Mongolia it will be really good and tasty but i wont eat this one in here. Food was terrible !!!!!

We were visiting from Canada. Having been spoiled by the Asian food quality in Vancouver, we were led to this restaurant by the high review points but were not expecting much here, however it was the food that disappointed us the most. Parking was not very convenient but it was manageable – beat up parking at the back. Staff was very rude and unfriendly to us. Honestly we didn’t know why coz they seemed to be engaging well with other local folks – perhaps they are the regulars. End of the meal the manager rushed us to pay – throwing the cheque on our table. We saw other tables were served with fortune cookies and were given time to finish so that really put us off. He then questioned the amount of “tip” even though we decided to give 10% regardless. Oh the very last issue – the vegetable they served was rotten, but tbh that’s the least we were unhappy about.
